Good morning all - 6/14/24 So.... severe weather is in our path today. Start time looks like it will be around 4 pm till about 1 am . Thunderstorms wind, hail, and flooding are all possible - personally I believe someone in NJ may see some tornadic activity - The evening commute will be severe for few - If you are in a low lying area - Flash flooding may be an issue. Until it starts Today will be sunny -hot and humid . The weekend looks fantastic once it is out, sunny and beautiful ! Hey all just an update for tomorrow- if you have tickets to The Rolling Stones. You may be ok after a brief storm after 6 pm- now let’s talk tomorrow morning and afternoon - it will be stormy ! Good morning all - 4/14/24 Happy Sunday ! Do not be fooled by these sunny skies- this will all change later . Although we will remain dry most of the day Nasty storms will arrive after 6pm till about 11 pm . Rinse and repeat - High winds thunderstorms and flooding all possible. West NJ, Ulster Sullivan in NY and Pike In PA Pay attention I wouldn't be surprised if those areas and central jersey may have some tornadic activity. Now lets talk - This week - Looks like Wednesday and Thursday will be our next shot at rain. A message to our followers, EMS & public safety partners. The Valley Hospital Ridgewood Campus, located at 223 North Van Dien Ave, Ridgewood, New Jersey 07450 will be on FACILITY DIVERT effective on April 11, 2024, starting at 3:00 pm. This divert will be effective until further notice. This is in anticipation of our hospital move to Paramus on April 14, 2024. All ambulances transporting a patient experiencing a medical emergency must be directed to the next closest, appropriate facility. Once the divert is updated, we will share the latest information when it is available. We would like to remind everyone that there will be NO disruption to our walk-in emergency care during the divert status.

On Sunday, April 14th, The Valley Hospital will be moving to Paramus. At 6:00 am on Sunday, April 14th, The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood will close, and the new Valley Hospital in Paramus will open.

After 6:00 am on April 14, 2024, all in-patient and emergency care will be provided in Paramus. The address of the new hospital will be 4 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus, New Jersey 07652 (For GPS, use 650 Winters Ave, Paramus, New Jersey 07652)

Good morning all - Here is the 411 on 4/11/24 -- Its going to be icky the next 24 hours- Rain High winds and thunderstorms all expected. Yes i do believe there will be power outages when we wake up tomorrow.. Before anyone says it NO this will not impact schools but definitely flights. Rain will not amount to much for our area anywhere from .5 - 1.0 inches however West NJ you could see upwards of 3 inches. - Yes low lying flood areas you should be prepared as this will affect rivers and streams. Overnight will be the worst - jackpot zone is 3 am for thunderstorms - so prepare little ones and pups and expect to wake up. that will last till aprox 7 am tomorrow. then we should clear out by later in the afternoon . THE WIND WILL BE AN ISSUE STARTING LATER THIS AFTERNOON - - UPWARDS OF 40 MPH GUSTS ARE EXPECTED TILL TOMORROW. coastal flooding and beach erosion is immanent especially for shore areas. This storm is dangerous and did produce tornadic activity in LA. As of now no tornadic activity expected for our area. PUBLIC SERVIVE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR VALLEY HOSPITAL :

In less than 5 days the Valley Hospital will be moving to Paramus. At 6:00 am on Sunday, April 14th, The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood will close, and the new Valley Hospital in Paramus will open.
