The Heartland Fall Forum is a members-only trade show for independent booksellers throughout the Midwest and the people in the publishing industry who do business with them. We offer author events, bookseller education, and a show floor featuring publishers, wholesalers, distributors, merchandisers, and much more.

📚 The Heartland Booksellers Award is a reflection of handselling at its best, as all the books are selected by independent booksellers, and celebrate literature in the Great Lakes and Midwest, with content either about the region, or an author from our region. It's a joint award given annually by the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association and the Midwest Booksellers Association.

🤩 Join us for this exclusive and unbelievable event! Multi-Grammy Winning Musician Jack White in conversation with NYT Bestselling Author & Cultural Critic Hanif Abdurraqib.
Featuring: drummer, journalist and Third Man Records label executive Ben Blackwell, poet and author Caroline Randall Williams, author and Pulitzer Prize finalist Adrian Matejka, and more.
Hosted at Third Man Records on Wednesday, October 18. The first 150 attendees at the door will receive a tote bag with giveaways. The evening will kick off with a half-hour of poetry readings, followed by the main event: a half-hour in-conversation with Jack White and Hanif Abdurraqib, also featuring Ben Blackwell. Following our main event will be a DJ and dance party. Third Man Records is also an active vinyl plant, so throughout the night attendees will get to see vinyl records being pressed. We will have more cool announcements in the coming weeks and are honored and excited to provide our stores this experience.
