Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku started a permanent projection mapping exhibition on February 25, 2024. It's called TOKYO Night & Light.
They received a Guinness World Record™ for the "Largest Permanent Architectural Projection Mapping Exhibition'' in the world!
⏰It will take place from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. (current schedule till May) every day for 10 or 15 minutes. On the weekends and holidays, the scenery will tell a story and change every 30 minutes but on weekdays, the image will be the same.

On February 1, 2024, a new 24-hour spa and entertainment complex is opening in Toyosu. Here’s what you need to know about this Edo-era-themed mini-town.
Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai aims to transform the hot-spring experience. The Manyo Club has worked closely with the folks at nearby Toyosu Fish Market to develop a multi-storey hot-spring and entertainment village.
There will be open-air baths, indoor baths and saunas. The water used to fill the baths will be sourced on a daily basis from the Hakone-Yugawara hot springs. We’re not sure how this fits into sustainable tourism, exactly.
There will also be plenty of food to try, including fresh fish/ Consider visiting after a trip to teamLab Planets or Toyosu Fish Market.

There are two Hatcoffee locations in Asakusa, one that is a sit-down coffee shop (reservations encouraged), and the one we went to, which is a coffee stand.
We recommend the stand as you don’t have to go through the hurdle of making a reservation and you can easily grab some coffee before heading into the amazing sights of Asakusa!
Once entering the store, you might have to get a ticket number on the touch panel and wait. You’ll receive a menu once you are seated, so think about what you really want!

The opening of the brand new Azabudai Hills complex comes with a sprinkling of Christmas cheer.
There are 17 food and drink stalls (incl. vegan options), a 12-meter-tall Christmas tree shining with 20,000 LED lights, and shops stocking wreaths and other festive trinkets.
The venue, the central square of Azabudai Hills, is draped with golden lights and a truckload of decorations. If you feel chilly outside, try one of the limited-edition dishes at a nearby restaurant.

Originally inspired by London’s Walking Tube Map showing the walking time in minutes between London Underground stations, Tokyo Cheapo has produced (and revised) a walking map of the Tokyo subway system to both save you money and help you to walk off that 1,000-calorie bowl of lunchtime ramen.
The shortest walks between two stations on the same line are the 4-minute trot between Nijubashimae Station and Otemachi Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, and the 4-minute stroll from Hibiya Station to Ginza Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line.

The bus gives you a sample of what Tokyo has to offer. If you use it on your first day in the city, you can get a sense of what’s worth a visit and what isn’t. It’s also comforting for those who have mobility difficulties — a peaceful alternative to rushing about one of the largest cities in the world.

Refresh yourself by escaping the humidity of Tokyo and heading to the beaches, shrines, and mysterious caves of Enoshima.
Enoshima, a small island just slightly west of Kamakura, boasts some of the closest beaches to Tokyo (approx. 1 hr from Shinjuku Station). But that’s not the only enticing factor; Enoshima’s got a little bit of everything making it the perfect all-in-one vacation spot.
🚃How to get there🚉
Take the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku Station to Fujisawa Station, then transfer to the Odakyu Enoshima Line and get off at Katase-Enoshima Station (one-way ¥650).
Alternatively, you can take the Odakyu Romancecar from Shinjuku Station. It will bring you directly to Katase-Enoshima Station without any transfers, but seeing as it’s ¥1,400 one-way, we can’t recommend it in good Cheapo taste.
You can also get to Enoshima via the local Enoden Line that runs between Kamakura and Enoshima, in which case you can make use of the Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass. Or if coming from Ōfuna, you can get the Shonan Monorail, which takes only 14 minutes and is quite a rollercoaster experience.
