I hate that they are having to deal with this.
We are very upset about an allegation being made against us about this wedding cake. It was made to the couple’s specifications, and this is how it looked in our store prior to pick up. The couple has given us a 2 star google review with a picture of it melted. What they are leaving out of the story is how we told them NOT to transport it in the back of a pick up truck in the heat several hours away. We told them it would not make it. They decided to do it anyways. Now they are posting about it and wanting their money back. We cannot be held responsible for what happened to it after leaving our store, especially when they were told not to transport it that way.
We are a family owned business that has proudly been serving generations of Chattanoogans. It deeply saddens us that our good name is being run through the mud for something we didn’t do.
We just wanted to set the record straight, and let our loyal customers know what really happened.
