My biggest goal as a parent is
to raise children who will still
love me, like me, and want to be
around me when they’re grown.

The kind who pick up the phone,
call me, check on me, and make
time for me, not out of obligation,
but out of love.

Because imagine raising kids
who can’t wait to leave you
or choose to stay away
that’s on us.

That’s why it’s so important
to respect our children,
allow them to be themselves,
speak life into them, pray for them,
and apologize when needed.

Be mindful of your words
because in the end, it’s not about
your intentions, it’s about how
you made them feel.

Heal, so your children
won’t have to heal from you.
There’s no such thing as
a perfect parent, but there are
a million ways to be a good one. ❤️

“I've seen women insist on cleaning everything in the house before they could sit down to write... and you know it's a funny thing about housecleaning... it never comes to an end. Perfect way to stop a woman. A woman must be careful to not allow over-responsibility (or over-respectabilty) to steal her necessary creative rests, riffs, and raptures. She simply must put her foot down and say no to half of what she believes she "should" be doing. Art is not meant to be created in stolen moments only.”
Clarissa Pinkola Estés

And what is happiness?
Happiness is when the door of your house closes, and everything you need is inside - the people you love, the warmth of a cozy home, and the sense of belonging.
It's the feeling of being surrounded by those who bring joy to your life, and knowing that you have everything you need to be content, right there within those walls.
It's the peace of mind that comes from knowing you're exactly where you're meant to be, with the people who make your heart full.

Meryl Streep once said: Let things fall apart — stop exhausting yourself trying to hold them together. Not everything is meant to last forever, and forcing what is already breaking will only drain you. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is let go.

Let people be upset. Let them misunderstand you. Let them criticize and judge. Their opinions are reflections of their own perceptions, not a measure of your worth. You do not need to explain yourself to those who are committed to misunderstanding you. You are not responsible for how others choose to see you or how they react to your truth.

Stop fearing the unknown. Stop asking, Where will I go? What will I do? as if the universe has not already carved a path for you. Loss can feel unbearable, but sometimes, it is simply clearing the way for something better. What is meant to leave will leave, no matter how desperately you try to hold on. What is meant to stay will find a way, no matter how uncertain things seem. Life always finds a way to balance itself, even when we can’t see how.

There is a rhythm to life, a natural order of endings and beginnings. When we resist that flow, we create suffering. We cling to what is breaking, fearing that nothing good will replace it. But this is an illusion. The universe is abundant, constantly unfolding new opportunities, new love, and new purpose. The only thing keeping you from it is your attachment to what no longer belongs to you.

And never, for a second, believe that the best is behind you. Life does not stop offering beauty just because you have endured hardship. The good has not run out. There is still more joy to experience, more love to receive, more peace to be found. But you must be willing to make room for it.

So, ask yourself—What am I holding onto that is holding me back? And when you find the answer, trust yourself enough to let it go. Something better is already on its way.

If while washing dishes, we think only of the cup of tea that awaits us, thus hurrying to get the dishes out of the way as if they were a nuisance, then we are not “washing the dishes to wash the dishes.” What’s more, we are not alive during the time we are washing the dishes. In fact we are completely incapable of realizing the miracle of life while standing at the sink. If we can’t wash the dishes, the chances are we won’t be able to drink our tea either. While drinking the cup of tea, we will only be thinking of other things, barely aware of the cup in our hands. Thus we are sucked away into the future—and we are incapable of actually living one minute of life.

She could have spread her wings.... could have run away.... and saved yourself.

But she didn't. She didn't even try. It stayed right there... next to the most valuable thing it had..

In birds, this instinct is deeply rooted in their biology. The prolactin hormone, responsible for incubation behavior, shoots into the brain during the breeding season. This substance not only drives them to build nests and warm their eggs but also to defend them, even in the face of imminent danger.

They don’t feel love as we humans understand, but they feel urgency, duty, and something deeper: the genetic programming to protect the future of their species, even if it means facing death.

This little body, still among the ashes, isn't just a bird's.

It's a mother's.

"When I am full of silence,
and no one else is near,
the voice I keep inside of me
is all I want to hear.
I settle in my secret place,
contented and alone,
and i think no other thoughts except
the thoughts that are my own.

When I am full of silence,
I do not care to play,
to run and jump and fuss about,
the way I do all day.
The pictures painted in my mind
are all I need to see
when I am full of silence...
when I am truly me."

DO NOTHING, REST...
Don't fall into the trap of thinking that doing nothing means doing nothing for you.

That being unproductive is unproductive for you.

We've become so accustomed to being busy, so accustomed to doing things with visible results, so accustomed to pacing and recording our activity and crossing things off our to-do lists, that we've forgotten the importance of rest.

"Doing nothing" and being "unproductive" are actually doing something productive.

They're helping you recharge.

Recover.

Reading a magazine or taking a bath or sitting in the garden with a cup of coffee are not wasted time.

Rest time is not wasted time.

We are not machines. We are not robots.

We're not here to work,
move, and do things constantly.

We are human beings.

And sometimes we just need to be
