On Nov 1, Historic Santa Fe Foundation presents a curated photo exhibition of photography from Sabino's Map at the Eugene and Clare Thaw Education and Research Center, housed within the historic Edwin Brooks House on Canyon Road. IT HAS BEEN AN HONOR to direct the Museum of New Mexico Press for over twenty-six years. As I retire to pursue other endeavors in book publishing, I continue to advocate for and support the Museum of New Mexico Press, its books and authors. I also want to acknowledge the contributions of key staff members over the years, including art director and production manager David Skolkin and editorial directors Mary Wachs and Lisa Pacheco. David is retiring from the press after thirty years and will continue to design and package museum and trade books independently. For many decades, we have published books of significance that fulfilled the Press's mission to educate and entertain audiences about the rich arts, culture and history of New Mexico, the Southwest, and beyond. Together, these colleagues have created a beautiful and meaningful legacy in print.
