THE HARVEST (Episode 2)

Oh no,I shouldn't be here this moment,never knew when tears started rolling down from my eyes,Joy noticed i was crying,and asked to know why i was crying,I couldn't say a word,just stood like a statue

Miss Jovial being that kind hearted person,asked me to follow her,she ordered the rest of the other prisoners to continue with the work,we went behind one of the wards,she asked i sit and tell her why I'm making a river from my eyes,with a sigh ,I told her the story is too long,she said her ears won't become deaf if she hears the story,ringing we have all the time,i should do the talking while she listens

I am from a very wealthy family,in my town,my father is counted among the first 10 wealthiest,I lacked nothing as a child,yea ,practically got everything .
Shola is my eldest sister,her mum died when she was only 2 years old,dad married my mum a year after Shola mother's death.

My sister Shola has been the one doing all the house chores,if she doesn't who will,whenever she complains to our dad about how she is not finding it easy to do everything at home,he keeps assuring her he will talk to me,not like he doesn't talk to me,my mum will always remind him that she is the eldest and that is her duty and not the duty of her own daughter.

One fateful saturday,Shola cried to our father asking him if he doesn't like her he should tell her so she wil leave the house in peace,I was eavesdropping that day,I heard him tell her he loves her more than anyone in this world,why then I'm i going through hell in my own father's house,a father who claims he loves me,those were her exalt words to daddy.

Daddy said very soon you will know I'm doing the best for you,once you get married,you will live to appreciate this training you see as punishment and hatred,mind you,don't think of requesting for a house help,my answer to that still remains valid,as long as my daughters are leaving with me,no househelp will be brought to this house

I was very happy hearing what dad said ,she will always do the house chores,as for me my support system will be there to support me

One day Shola brought home her fiance for introduction.Femi is the son of one of the most respected chief in the land,everyone knew about their relationship in my house,for a formal introduction like this,it means they are getting ready to tie the knot.
My father's words about not getting a house help while his children are still with him rang a bell in my heart,instantly i became troubled,and my mood changed,i have to do something very fast,if not .

THE HARVEST (Episode 1)

Seeing Remi in my dreams this days is becoming normal,even though i always wake up sweating profusely after waking up from the dream,because each time i see him chasing me with a cutlass in my dream.

Remi please forgive me,don't kill me,this are the words i woke up with this time after being chased by him again in my dream,one of the inmate sleeping next to me woke up from sleep after hearing me screaming from my dream, what again ,won't you allow us rest peacefully in this prison,are you here to torment us with your bad luck,if i should hear any sound from you again,you will know why they call me Boss lady here.

I couldn't sleep again,just being scared of seeing Remi in my dream,and trying not to get Boss lady upset,the last time i offended her,i got the beating of my life time,Boss lady punished ,beat and sat on me for more than 30 minutes,i saw death that day,but death wasn't ready to take me,maybe it wants me to live longer and suffer for my past atrocities .

The prison bell rings around 5:30 everyday,waking everyone to get ready for the days work,once it is 6 o'clock,were are being taken to various places to work,sometimes to cut grasses ,sweep or wash clothes in rich people houses.

Simi,Joy and Tobi,join the other inmate over there,30 of you will be going to general hospital today,if any one of you tries anything stupid over there,you know what awaits you,said one of the warder,who is the only jovial warder in the prison,the rest are wickedly aggressive,they don't talk much,their action is enough for one to know what to do.

Myself,Joy and Tobi joined the rest,since the hospital is not too far from the prison,we were asked to trek ,other times the convey us in black maria to our destination,depending on the distance from the prison

We arrived the prison,just as miss Jovial the prison warder was instructing us on what to do,my eyes caught up with the lady being rushed to the labour room,and i realized the lady is my cousin,the memory came back fresh,i felt the pain like a fresh wound that has been poured spirit and pepper,the traumatizing pain i have been trying to forget over the months,it is right here befor me

Sim ! Sim!! Sim!!!,
That's what I kept hearing,till I could no longer hear any sound again,i kept thinking in my hiding place,what if they get hold of me ,who will tell of the story of our demise ***

Timana is a lovely girl ,our friendship kept waxing stronger,maybe because we share almost same features ,from the long thick black hair,big eyeballs ,pointed nose and the melanin skin,must people assume we are siblings,some even say we are twins,but we are never related in any form

Timana grew without the love of a parent,she was told by her grandma that her mother pass on immediately she was born,her father was bannished to the evil forest for stealing which is a taboo in my community.

Timana and I first met at Otipa playground where moonlight tales are been told,that fateful night,the old story teller came a bit late,for reasons untold,we were not bother because we were already catching fun with our little hide and seek game,Timana and I were match made to a team,we were to seek for those hiding ,instead of going according to the games rule,we sat and started talking,it was more like an introduction

Hey!,Timana turning to me,because I was standing behind her to take the lead,she ask in a tiny an angelic voice,what is your name,you are new here,I'm the princess of this playground ,I know everybody here by name and also their parents

Oh yes my name is Sim,can we go in search of them now,Timana replied with a no,let's sit and wait for mama Timbre ,they will come out from their hiding once they hear her voice,I needed not ask who mama Timbre is,I'm sure that must be the storyteller .

Before we could sit on the stones arranged as seat for us,we heard someone singing, "it is time,time to sit under the moon,to travel all over the world,come come now let's travel "
