I do love finding bands that are not only killer, but NEW! In Aphelion is relatively fresh on the block, but at the helm is a man who is no stranger to the scene. Its sleek, its mean, its catchy, its epic, and it is the passion project of Sebastian Ramstedt (of Necrophobic fame).

In Aphelion is a massive standout in my ever-growing collection of top-shelf metal, and this interview is among my favorites as well. Seb is just as much a monster musician as he is an intellect, and it was a true pleasure to sit across from him and pick is brain. This is one interview you don't want to miss!

(side note: because of this interview, I believe I've found a lane to explore in the next few interviews. Many thanks to Seb for clicking a lightbulb :D)

This week marks the 1-year anniversary of the latest Phobocosm album "Foreordained".

On December 8, 2023, the day it was officially released on Dark Descent Records, we did an album launch show in Montreal at Petit Campus where we played the entire album. Our friends from Intonate and Ignominy supported us and both played great sets.

To celebrate the album's release, we've decided to release a clip of each song in chronological order.

Blackened Death Metal - Its gotta be my fave metal genre. The search for the highest of quality BDM is never-ending, and that's all thanks to Earth Rot - the bar is high. VERY high!

Hailing from Australia, are among the best when it comes to delivering those sweet blackened goods. Violent, immersive, and most importantly, fun as hell to listen to! Their latest album "Black Tides Of Obscurity" has been on constant rotation since its release, and their next album will easily be my most impatient wait-for!

This interview was a big treat! I've always shown my appreciation for the might that is Earth Rot, and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity here to share that directly with the man behind the music! This interview was a blast, don't miss out!!

Exercise! A must-have staple in any healthy life! The benefits from physical exertion are essential to a positive outlook, and when combined with some brutal music, and the power it holds, the possibilities are endless!

Arthur Lux of .temple harnesses the best of these worlds, and sets the example by living it, and spreading the knowledge to those who wish to live the same. This is a refreshing and much-needed conversation, which has since motivated me to step up my game, and re-capture what has helped me define myself in the past!
