hey all, i just wanted to make everyone aware that i’m making some new changes to the studio that everyone should read if you record with me or intend to. i’m blessed to have a lot of really great and respectful clients that treat my space with respect and dignity and do their absolute best every session. unfortunately, that isn’t everybody, and a small amount of people are now forcing my hand to change my policies.
deposits are now 100% up front payment for a single mix - for an ep or full length project, we’re doing half up front and half at delivery. i’ve been stiffed recently and the disrespect for my work and time is seriously disappointing.
for studio time, we’ll estimate how long the session will be and it *must* be paid before you walk through the door. no exceptions. i’ve had too many cancellations this year where that time could’ve been spent on a client that wasn’t going to cancel their slot day of. also, if we go over time, no worries. just pay the remainder when we finish the session. and if you book 5PM-8PM and show up at 6PM, you’re still paying for that hour. if you’re serious, you’ll be on time.
if your performance isn’t up to par, if your strings aren’t changed, if you’re struggling to write a part in session, that’s stuff we can work on together and that’s why i’m here - to help!!! i can play it for you if it’s really that hard (i’m very serious about tightness on the track and YOU SHOULD BE TOO. i only want quality tracks leaving this studio but i would be much happier if you played everything yourself - it’s your music.) we can change your strings on the spot (i have them on hand, just compensate me if you forgot to change them.) and if you’re having trouble writing, i’m here to help with that too.
i also want to mention that i’m taking on ghostwriting projects as well. dm here or on for availability and pricing. i can write you a ridiculous band.
anyways, that’s about it. i’ve had a blast this year on the projects i’ve been blessed and trusted to work on and i’m looking forward to a MUCH more productive year in 2024, so let’s start it off right!
