Non potevamo non condividere con voi lo struggente messaggio che un illustratore russo ci ha scritto. Leggetelo anche voi.

"Scusa se ti disturbo, ma volevo dire una cosa. So che molti artisti e illustratori russi ammirano Bologna Children's Book Fair e hanno preso parte ad essa e a questo concorso. Purtroppo anch'io sono russo. “Purtroppo" perché la censura ora è oltre i limiti (e potrebbe peggiorare); perché siamo contrari alla violenza, ma nessuno ci ascolta, e nessuna delle persone che conosco approva le loro azioni. Siamo scioccati e terrorizzati (soprattutto quelli che, come il mio amico, hanno familiari in Ucraina), dolorosamente vergognati e devastati. Perché si rifiutano di ascoltare: le persone che ci arrestano per aver protestato, le persone che affermano di proteggerci dal nazionalismo ma hanno preso decisioni che stanno causando discriminazioni nei confronti dei russi in tutto il mondo. Sono uno studente di una multinazionale universitaria. Studiare insieme e imparare da persone di paesi diversi è stato un grande piacere per me e per i miei coetanei. Ora spero che i miei insegnanti abbiano lasciato il nostro paese. Mi mancheranno, ma spero che si sentano al sicuro. I miei coetanei cercano gli indirizzi dei rifugi antiaerei più vicini in attesa di notizie. I miei amici piangono perché non vogliamo che nessuno soffra, ma siamo impotenti. Spero che finisca presto. Non abbiamo molte opzioni, solo sperare. Ora gli artisti ucraini e russi hanno bisogno di un'opportunità per sentirsi parte della comunità artistica globale più che mai. E volevo ringraziarti per questo con tutto il mio cuore. Tantissimi auguri."

Il Silent Book Contest e CARTHUSIA EDIZIONI sono vicini al popolo ucraino che sta subendo le terribili conseguenze di questa guerra ed è anche vicino a coloro che in Russia non approvano le azioni del proprio governo. I silent books nascono per abbattere le barriere con il loro silenzioso ed universale linguaggio, sono per questo messaggi di pace.

Since so many of you requested us to have more time to finish their works, we have decided to slightly move the deadline of the : you can submit your works until 20th of February!
Our subscriptions website will be closed by 00:00 GTM of the 21th February.

We’re not able to extend it further because jurors will have to vote and then the Team and CARTHUSIA EDIZIONI need time to prepare the exhibition at Bologna Children's Book Fair.

"Il coraggio nel vento di montagna" by Li Yao, published by CARTHUSIA EDIZIONI, it's a story about courage.

Thanks to his dear friend, the Monkey King, and a mask with extraordinary powers, the young protagonist of this story will be able to face his fear, the terrifying dark clouds, and run free in the wind.

Come ogni estate anche quest'anno si terrà la mostra dei finalisti del a Montereggio - Paese dei Librai, durante la tradizionale Festa del Libro. La mostra sarà visitabile nella chiesa di S. Apollinare il 21/22 e il 27/28/29 Agosto, mentre la presentazione ufficiale si terrà Domenica 29 Agosto nel pomeriggio... Non mancate! ☀️
