BREAKING: Actor Jussie Smollett sentenced to 150 days in jail, probation for lying to police that he was the victim of a racist, homophobic attack. A judge in Chicago sentenced Jussie Smollett to 150 days in county jail and 30 months of felony probation on Thursday for falsely reporting that he had been the victim of a racist and homophobic attack in 2019. The former "Empire" star, 39, who is Black and gay, was convicted in December on five counts of felony disorderly conduct. “You’re just a charlatan pretending to be a victim of a hate crime,” the judge said.

A Minnesota judge on Friday sentenced former police officer Kim Potter to two years in prisonfor shooting and killing Daunte Wight, a Black motorist, 10 months ago. Judge Regina Chu said Potter deserved a lesser sentence than the 86 months sought by prosecutors because the officer was trying to use her Taser and not her gun. Potter is expected to serve only16 months behind bars, followed by supervised release.

Bob Saget died from blunt force trauma to the head according to the Orange County Florida Medical Examiner. Bob recently also had COVID and the test results were positive at the time of death.

The conclusion from the Medical Examiner who said, "It is my opinion that the death of Mr. Saget was the result of blunt head trauma. His injuries were most likely incurred from an unwitnessed fall."

Former Miami head coach Brian Flores is suing the NFL and three of its teams. The Broncos, Dolphins, and Giants alleging a pattern of racist hiring practices by the league and racial discrimination during the interview process with Denver and New York, as well as during his tenure with Miami.
The lawsuit filed Tuesday in Manhattan federal court sought class-action status and unspecified damages from the league, the three teams and unidentified individuals.

Chris Brown is being sued for allegedly drugging and ra**ng a woman on a yacht docked at Diddy’s home in Miami, Florida. The lawsuit was reportedly filed by a choreographer, dancer, and musician identified only as Jane Doe, who is suing for $20 million in damages. An attorney for Jane Doe confirmed.

According to the suit, the alleged assault took place on December 30, 2020. Brown had allegedly invited Doe to Diddy’s home on Miami’s Star Island. Doe claims that she and Brown were on a yacht in the area and that Brown offered her a drink. According to the suit, Doe felt “a sudden, unexplained change in consciousness” after Brown filled her cup a second time.

Ex-NBA player Kwame Brown is pi**ed off with Dwyane Wade's daughter's fashion tribute to Kobe Bryant. Kwame said her #8 jersey dress was "disrespectful" to the Kobe's legacy. 14-year-old Zaya Wade paid homage to Bryant in an Instagram post on Wednesday wearing the outfit and captioning the post, "always remembering and honoring Kobe and Gianna." Kwame ripped Dwyane during his "Bust Life" YouTube show on Thursday saying the ex-Miami Heat star."You are letting your woman control your house," Kwame said claiming Kobe's wife, Vanessa, and kids would not honor Kobe the same way Zaya did. Kwame believes Zaya's tribute does a disservice to everything Kobe stands for citing his work ethic, masculinity, and faith.

"I'm not saying there's anything against homos*xuals, but Kobe is a heteros*xual man. Why is he being honored by making his jersey into a dress? Wear his goddamn jersey for the day to honor him without the dress part," Brown added."Let's please not show our Black brother in this light. This is no offense to nobody else. This man was a heteros*xual man with a wife and a family. There's no reason for this to be tied to Kobe Bryant. None whatsoever."

Sarah Palin is not letting COVID-19 stop her from enjoying New York City’s culinary offerings. The former Alaska governor returned to Elio's restaurant Wednesday night and dined outdoors just days after it was revealed she tested positive for COVID-19. Palin, who has touted the fact that she is not vaccinated, was seen dining inside the Upper East Side Italian restaurant on Saturday, before her diagnosis. The city requires proof of vaccination to eat indoors.

A man was arrested early Thursday morning after cops say he crashed his car into Taylor Swift's NYC building. The man was busted after driving the wrong way down Taylor's street, then reversing and striking the building and a fire hydrant. The guy got out of the car and went to the intercom, trying to rip it out of the wall ... mumbling about Taylor. He's facing potential charges for DWI and criminal mischief. Cops say he was drunk.

Kim Kardashian is setting the record straight about allegations of a second s*x tape with Ray J. Kanye West had a recent interview with Jason Lee, during their conversation, West, 44, claimed that he obtained a laptop from Ray J with unreleased footage of Kardashian, 41, with her ex-boyfriend. The s*x tape, which was filmed while the pair were dating in 2003, went public in 2007 and led to years of controversy for Kardashian. A rep for Kardashian denied the existence of a second s*x tape. "After review, there was nothing s*xual , only footage on the plane on the way to Mexico and footage at a club and restaurant on the same trip," the rep said. "Kim remains firm in her belief that there is no new second tape that exists. "After 20 years, she truly wishes to move on from this chapter with focus instead on the positive things she continues to do as a mother, entrepreneur and advocate for justice reform." *xTape

The death of a Connecticut woman who passed away during a date last month after going out with a man she met on a dating app was ruled an accidental drug overdose — but her family disputed state officials’ findings, saying she never used narcotics. Lauren Smith-Fields was killed by “acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl, promethazine, hydroxyzine and alcohol,” Connecticut’s chief medical examiner said Tuesday, adding they found no foul play. Darnell Crosland, an attorney for the Bridgeport woman’s family, however, said the family believes there was not enough of an investigation done to see if someone was to blame for slipping her the toxic cocktail. “I’ve never seen a medical examiner conclude a mixer of drugs as an accident without knowing who provided the drugs, or how it was ingested,”

Lashawn McNeil, the man who the New York City police said shot and killed one officer and critically wounded another in Harlem last week, died on Monday, two police officials said. McNeil, 47, was accused of ambushing Officers Jason Rivera, 22, and Wilbert Mora, 27, while they responded to a report of a domestic incident at Mr. McNeil’s mother’s home on Friday night. Officer Rivera was pronounced dead at the hospital on Friday; Officer Mora remains in critical condition at NYU Langone Hospital.

Regina King's son Ian Alexander Jr. has died by su***de. His 26th birthday was Wednesday. "Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian," King said in a statement. "He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you." He was King's only child, whom she shared with her ex-husband, record producer Ian Alexander Sr. Following in his father's musical footsteps, Ian was a deejay. King said he was "an amazing young man."
