MEDEVACmatters MEDEVACmatters (MEDEVACmatters.org) exists to identify ways that the U.S. We highly respect the men and women who perform MEDEVAC operations for the U.S. Army.

Army leaders can improve MEDEVAC and pre-hospital activities to reduce the number of unnecessary deaths among wounded American and ISAF troops. Their efforts are limited by their leadership's unwillingness to listen to them for firsthand suggestions, and to the Army's own senior MEDEVAC and medical officers for more insights and recommendations. eptember 2011 a group of American citizens took note of issues about how MEDEVAC operations are run by the Army that have led to unnecessary deaths as documented by the Army's own experts. We have identified significant issues in medic training, MOS requirements, equipment, mission delays due to bureaucratic entanglements, etc. Some of these issues have remedies that experts have been recommending for over a decade, yet no action has been taken.
