Original work inspired from a scene from The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader where we see the sorcerer's invisible mansion. The locals refer to it as "The House of the Oppressor". It turns out that the sorcerer is really a kind old man who helps the heroes on their journey.

My grandmother's family is from Ukraine. When she passed away, I inherited her book of 201 Ukrainian Folk Songs. I took three songs, "She Lives On, Our Ukrainia" (National Anthem), "Between Two Mountains, A Star Rose". and "It's Freezing and Snowing" and composed this work. I originally wrote it in 2007 but lost my copy when we moved. I rewrote this version in 2023.
