A little professional update (monologue):

I started my career as a sports writer back in March 2013. Then I evolved as a sports media coordinator, a sports communications professional and so on. Basically, you categorise all of this under sports journalism.

This March, didn't realise, I completed 8 years in this industry. Now it's been more than 8 years, with June already here. Websites, newspaper, social media, sports PR, everything kind of been there done that.

One of the biggest highs would be coming in a month's time with the Tokyo Olympics. My memorable stint with the Sports Authority of India, where I've worked through the pandemic, would culminate with the Olympics. A notable input for my CV.

So, what next after over 8 years of working as a sports journalist, I wonder. I feel I've not even started my professional life to be honest. Yes, I'm already 30, yet to get married, yet to have a car, still switching cities year after year. Not a traditional way in any sense.

Having said that, I've never been so spiritual and meditative in life as now. It's all about the flow state of mind. How do you stop being a rudderless ship? By having a purpose. How do you fulfil your purpose? Just FLOW with it.

I don't know what happens in the next few months but I know, two years from now, I'll be celebrating my 10 years in sports media industry. That's the plan. Maybe I'll retire, maybe I'll stay put, maybe I'll move to a different niche. But for now, it's all about living in the moment and flowing with it.

And as I have this feeling, my professional life has not even started.
