BARKS Magazine Managed and edited by Paula Garber, BARKS Magazine covers all topics relevant to animal training and behavior professionals.

About BARKS
BARKS Magazine is a publication for animal trainers and behavior consultants, pet care professionals, animal shelter and rescue workers and all those working in the broader pet services industry. BARKS covers all things animal behavior and training, specifically in the fields of canine, feline, equine and avian, with an occasional foray into pocket pets and exotics, as well as advocac

y, business, sales, marketing and consulting. Educational Platform
In a world where there is often information overload, BARKS provides a platform for current, accurate and scientifically sound information and education that pet professionals can trust, helping them stay up to date with current research and thinking so they can help more pets and their people. BARKS contributors are based all over the world and generously share their knowledge, experience and expertise to help create this comprehensive educational resource for pet professionals to use – both in their businesses and for their own professional development. BARKS Magazine is the official trade publication of the Pet Professional Guild. Our Philosophy
At BARKS, we believe pets have an intrinsic right to be treated humanely, have each of their individual needs met and live in safe, enriched environments free from force, pain and fear. We believe this forms the foundation for a pet’s healthy socialization and a stable environment. This way, we can help prevent behavior problems while protecting the overall well-being of each individual animal.

Our Story

At BARKS, we believe pets have an intrinsic right to be treated humanely, to have each of their individual needs met, and to live in safe, enriched environments free from force, pain and fear. In this cyber-driven world, where information may not always be current, accurate or scientifically sound, we provide a platform for promoting education, resources, equipment, ideas, methods and techniques that both pet professionals and guardians can trust. We believe this forms the foundation for a pet's healthy socialization and a stable environment that is better suited to preventing behavior problems, while protecting the overall wellbeing of each individual animal.

BARKS covers all things animal behavior and training, pet care, canine, feline, equine, avian, pocket pets, and exotics, as well as business, sales, marketing and consulting. A must-read for animal behavior, training and pet care professionals, and pet guardians interested in learning more about modern, science-based, force-free training techniques and tools!
