Opening soon at NDSM! A new location of , called Bar Karma! Of course all vegan. 🙌

They started out in 2018 selling plant-based kebab (made from seitan and celeriac) at festivals. Then after a few years they opened a big location in Utrecht, and a small one in Amsterdam (close to Leidseplein). December last year they had to say goodbye to the Utrecht location as it was only temporary. They closed the one in Amsterdam as well to focus on this new location.

Inspired by cuisines with kebab in their DNA, their new menu will offer Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food grilled on open fire. Besides the food expect lots of music, from dj’s to bands, as well as bingo nights. Located right in front of the ferries.

Soft opening of new vegan brunch spot ! Owner Ruby took over beloved vegan lunchroom Koffie ende Koeck (which started in 2015) four years ago. It’s going so well she started thinking of a new location, with a bigger kitchen and more space to receive guests. After finding the right location and needed funding Cocoon opened yesterday for the first time for soft opening!

At the new place Ruby wants to focus more on brunch type dishes like avocado toast, Spanish tortilla and tofu scramble. Sweet options include pancakes, French toast and baked goods like scones and cinnamon rolls.

Located at Bos en Lommer, across from Mogu Malatang. Fun fact: at this location ancient vegetarian restaurant De Vliegende Schotel (RIP) existed for a few years (2014 - 2017 after they moved away from Jordaan) and this is also where Plant-Based Sushi (RIP) started out in 2020.

What an energy!! 🔥 Kickoff of a summer of protests against wholesaler Hanos, last Friday in Amsterdam.

They are supplying foie gras to restaurants in the Netherlands, making them a major target in the nationwide campaign of Active for Justice against foie gras. For this protest local activists were joined by activists from abroad, delivering a clear and strong message.

📣 From June 6th on every two weeks demonstrations at Hanos Amsterdam. Check .afj Instagram account for the exact dates and times, and join the movement.

Oatly bike-thru pop-up in Amsterdam Noord! Serving special oatmilk coffee and tea drinks as well as softserve. For take-away, ride through with your bicycle.

Every week a changing drinks menu, as it’s based on collabs with different coffee places. The softserve is based on hojicha green tea, served with miso-caramel and sobacha.

Three types of vegan candy from Treets available! 🤩 Peanuts, Salted Peanuts and Crunchy Corn. Covered with a chocolate alternative based on sunflower seeds.

🙌 Another location of vegan Surinamese restaurant The Old Soul! .cafe opened last September at the Science Park campus of University of Amsterdam. Here they offer a modest buffet where you can serve yourself, and pay per weight. Besides that they have also various sandwiches, roti roll and cakes available.

🎓 Owner Diana Gambier opened .amsterdam in 2022, and as a true entrepreneur when the opportunity arose to open at Science Park, she took it.

🇸🇷 She wants to make Afro-Surinamese food more known and accesible to everybody. She serves up classic dishes which are already vegan, if not she comes up with a vegan version of it!

Five different flavours (and shapes) available at Jumbo. Find them not in the cookie aisle but near the hummus. Also available at Ekoplaza.
