Speak Up! at 91.9 FM Interviews, Reviews and Music Speak Up! is the intangible republic of voices. In other words, we air informed opinions and grill uninformed ones.

We tend to trace our genealogy back to a dude named Plato who said about wise (wo)men that “they talk because they have something to say” as opposed to fools who talk “because they have to say something.” We find ourselves in a more precarious position—an intersection between our passion and capability—we have to say something because we have something to say because silence would be irresponsibly

acquiescent. We call the sun, sun and the moon, moon and climate change, climate change. We don’t believe in “fair and balanced” for someone who asserts that we live on a planet resting on the shoulders of Atlas, and that if shrugged this Atlas might drop the globe into infinite plummeting. The Aristotelian political beast that we are, our discussions range from international affairs to national politics to Georgia Southern news and more. We are great fans of making democracy more democratic, and want to listen to you. So don’t worry about any passport or visa. Enter this republic on air at will. By the way, as a disclaimer, we make mistakes sometimes, and love to correct ourselves. And finally, let there be music!
