Reading Alex Hormozi's new book really has me thinking. Not in a way you might think.

Yes, there's amazing content in there. And yes, I believe if you follow what's written in there you're destined to be successful.

But, the real Ah Ha thing for me is I need to "GIVE MORE".

I think in the world of marketing and advertising everyone is so scared or reluctant share their "secret sauce". When in reality, most of us are just using some variation of tactic, tool or playbook learned from someone else.

So, for those that don't know I help business owners learn how to run profitable FB ads. In a recent series of coaching calls with a large group startup business owners one theme kept popping up so I thought I'd share that insight here.

Focus on your ad copy and creatives and develop a system to test them effectively. It's really one of the biggest factors in successful ads.

I have too many people getting tripped up in all the other things. Budgets, targeting, CPC, CTR, CPM... you get it.

We have to dig deeper into our lifer. Their goals, struggles, pain points, dreams, aspirations and how you can facilitate that transformation.

If you do this, you can literally run ads with ZERO "targeting" and get success. That's how powerful it is. But, too many people gloss over this element.

Technology is great, but sometimes it can be a major distraction. It always seems to amaze me at how advanced we have become and continue to push the threshold of what we previously thought impossible.

I have spent so many years focusing on how to help people and businesses with their tech needs, I am starting to realize that many more struggle with how to actually communicate what they do and how they serve a specific purpose to those they want most to hear it.

It's easy to do. With som many possibilities in "tech stack" it's easy to get that shiny object syndrome and always focus too much energy on the things that aren't really the problem.

What do you do? How do you serve people? What transformation do you facilitate? What problems do you solve?

If we focus more on that, then the rest can and will take care of itself.

Let's focus on problem solving and less on features. What do you say?

I took this picture a few weeks ago. It represents something important to me, balance.

I realized a few years ago that I was totally out of balance. Work, life, family, all of it. It happens slowly, like an eroding cliff bashed by the ocean. But, in time the damage is clear.

I like this picture, because it reminds me that it isn't the trees that make this picture captivating, it isn't the mountains in the distance, it isn't the slowly evaporating fog. It's all of it. All of it in balance makes this picture speak to me.

In life, in business make sure to always strive for balance. Then, you can truly see the power in everything around you. Happy Friday.
