Our goal is to create a community of feminist/womanist activists around the country and the world who struggle to access resources and to get their message heard because they live outside of major media centers. Often due to geographical location, their voices are left out of the larger dialogue, their activist projects are ignored, and their efforts take place in the shadows. Flyover Feminism wil

l operate directly in response to this phenomenon. FF will be a space where feminist/womanist activists who are hindered by place can reach out virtually in order to tell their stories, draw attention to their work, and share their triumphs and defeats. FF is about bringing together people, resources, strategies, and ideas that too often are passed over simply because they originate in the wrong locations.
