Rally for Justice: Voters Speak Out Against Intimidation in Westchester DA Race
Join us at the Westchester County Courthouse on Sunday, April 14 at 2pm for a "Rally for Justice" press conference. Voters, community activists, and civil rights advocates, including Black Westchester Magazine, the Westchester Alliance for Police Reform, and Save Mount Vernon, will come together to denounce the voter intimidation, harassment, and disenfranchisement of Black communities by Susan Cacace's campaign for Westchester District Attorney.
During the petition review process, the Wagstaff campaign was notified by multiple voters, including three Black women who will be speaking at the press conference, about threats they received from an "investigator" after signing petitions supporting Democratic candidate William Wagstaff. These voters will share their stories of being menaced, intimidated, and threatened by investigators hired by Cacace to question the validity of their signatures.
This rally aims to shed light on the blatant attempts by Cacace to politically strong-arm and anoint herself to a position of power in Westchester County. The collective voice of influential organizations, such as the Urban League of Westchester, has raised concerns about Cacace's transparency and dedication to the democratic process, especially after she deliberately skipped the first candidate debate co-sponsored by the County's leading African American organizations.
Stand with us as we fight against voter intimidation and disenfranchisement in the race for Westchester County District Attorney. #RallyForJustice #WestchesterDA #StopVoterIntimidation
