Live FM was founded on New Year’s Day of 2012 on 102.1. Back then, Live FM was called “Indie 102,” which specialized primarily on Indie Rock and Pop. Due to popular demand, three months and twenty days (March 20, 2012) into the year, “Indie” moved to a stronger signal on 96.9, tweaked the playlist to have more variety a

nd what do you know… “Live” was born. We don’t broadcast a specific genre like most radio stations do around town. We play anything from Alternative (The Black Keys, Muse, Coldplay) to Hip-Hop (J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd) to Indie Rock (The National, Foals, Vampire Weekend), and anything else that catches our ears that doesn’t get the attention from radio that it deserves. By the way, did we tell you that we support local music? Don’t hesitate to send us your music our way! Music loving Burquenos and New Mexicans that discover music at home, at shows and online. We need your to help Live FM be great, and choose the music you want to hear from us. We spend our days scanning the internet, going to shows, and receiving any music from local artists trying our best to broadcast the most interesting music for you!

Indie FM, Sound Different. - 99.1 KDNQ-FM, Albuquerque, NM - 102.1 KNDF-FM, Santa Fe, NM About Us: Indie was founded on New Year’s Day of 2012 on 102.1, as “Indie 102,” which specialized primarily on Indie Rock and Pop. Due to popular demand, three months and twenty days (March 20, 2012) into the year, Indie moved to a stronger signal on 96.9, and changed its name “Live” was born. On January 2nd, 2018, we decided to be “Indie” once again. Indie isn’t your typical radio station. We don’t broadcast a specific genre like most radio stations do around town. We play anything from Alternative (The Black Keys, Muse, Coldplay), to Hip-Hop (J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd), to Indie Rock (The National, Foals, Vampire Weekend), and anything else that catches our ears that doesn’t get the attention from radio that it deserves.
