OCEANIA is a collection of songs that explores the vastness of the human experience. Oceania, the great Pacific, is wide and deep, the perfect metaphor for a life's journey. The probability of finding shore can feel as remote as tiny islands in a vast ocean. The courage it takes to navigate its waters is measured by the boldness of the journey.

The record is written by Asheville, NC-based artist Anya Hinkle and produced by Kevin Moloney. Band members include: Irish guitar legend John Doyle on guitar and bouzouki; slide guitar master Billy Cardine (Biscuit Burners) on Dobro, lap steel, and chaturangui; Daniel Kimbro (Jerry Douglas, Transatlantic Sessions) on bass; River Guerguerian (Ziggy Marley, Gipsy Kings, Lizz Wright) on percussion; Mary Lucey (Biscuit Burners, Uncle Earl) on harmony vocals; and special guests Michael McGoldrick (Mark Knopfler, Lúnasa) on uilleann pipes and whistle; Mick McAuley (Solas) on accordion; and Clark Rinard on keys.

The record was recorded at Citizen Vinyl Studios in Asheville, NC.

This is it! Sandy Bailey’s amazing “Daughter of Abraham” will see its worldwide release on August 18th. Mark your calendars for the new album Mary Gauthier has called "the culmination of Sandy's years of dedication to her craft."

SANDY BAILEY - DAUGHTER OF ABRAHAM

Sandy Bailey’s sound has often been compared to a spectrum of acts, including Norah Jones, Patsy Cline, Susan Tedeschi and Patti Smith - yet she possesses a sound all her own.

Her latest recording, Daughter of Abraham, will be released August 18, 2023, on Red Parlor Records. The upcoming ten-song collection, expertly produced by Bailey, showcases her signature sound, and includes performances by acclaimed musicians; guitarist Ryan Hommel (Amos Lee), bassist and engineer Marc Seedorf (Dinosaur JR, Lou Barlow), and drummer Don McAulay (The Rolling Stones, Neil Young).

Incorporating elements of gospel, blues, soul and classic Americana, the depth of her songwriting stems from her life and identity as a biracial woman and single mother who abandoned a Pentecostal upbringing in favor of a life of art-making and rock and roll.

The artist, Sandy Bailey, is discovered in each profound, candid tune. Her influences are on display from track to track. The first radio single “I Ain’t Your Honey” is a declarative groover with a soulfully lilting vocal stating clearly the boundaries of a relationship.

We’re very pleased to announce the upcoming release of Cristina Vane’s new album, Make Myself Me Again, out on May 20, 2022.

The album was recorded with producer/engineer, Brook Sutton (The Wood Brothers, Sierra Hull) and they are currently finishing up mixes at Sutton’s aptly named, The Studio Nashville. Cristina plans to continue her busy touring schedule with new 2022 Spring-Summer dates to be announced soon.
