ENTREGA DEL TÍTULO DE HIJA ADOPTIVA DE ZARAGOZA.

​Su Alteza Real la Princesa de Asturias recibirá el título de Hija Adoptiva de la ciudad de Zaragoza.

D​oña Leonor recibirá, en el Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza, el título de Hija Adoptiva de la capital aragonesa, tal y como aprobó el pleno municipal el pasado 25 de abril, para “dejar constancia del afecto de la ciudad” por la Princesa de Asturias, “valorar lo que representa para la capital aragonesa y toda España y agradecer su vinculación con la ciudad”.

El título de Hija Adoptiva de Zaragoza reconoce a las personas que hayan destacado por sus méritos o cualidades, especialmente en los ámbitos cultural, científico, social, artístico, político o económico, o por servicios prestados en beneficio de la ciudad.

Su Majestad el Rey ya recibió este título tras ser aprobado en sesión plenaria el 5 de mayo de 1986, durante su estancia en la Academia Militar de Zaragoza cuando tenía la misma edad que la Princesa. El objetivo del Ayuntamiento también es, pues, agradecer la vinculación de la Princesa Leonor con la ciudad, donde está siguiendo actualmente su formación castrense.

Ese mismo día, la Princesa de Asturias recibirá también la Medalla de las Cortes de Aragón, máxima distinción que otorga el parlamento autonómico y la Medalla de Aragón, la máxima distinción que otorga el Gobierno aragonés.

Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias stepped into another milestone today. She has received the Medal of the Cortes of Aragon, the highest distinction awarded by the autonomous parliament that wants, with this award, to “recognize the feeling of loyalty and respect towards the Crown and towards the ideal of service that it institution symbolizes."

The Medal was imposed by the president of the Cortes, Marta Fernández. Her next stage will be in Zaragoza City Council where she will receive the title of Adoptive Daughter of the city.
