Why do I have cover art lying on my basement floor, you ask? Well, funny story…they’re wet! You’ll hear the full story on my next vlog, which should be up on the channel in the next 1-2 weeks. But, yeah…that sucked. Fortunately nothing expensive is damaged and they should be relatively fine once dried out. But what a pain!

Blah! fails yet again. I ordered the back in April, and it’s still delayed. Really wanted to check this 4K out before seeing in theatres next week. Ah well! Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.

“They’re real…and they’re spectacular!”

My 4K of came in last night, and I had to put it on ASAP. I won’t be doing a full review on the channel, but here are my thoughts:

The wait was worth it. This is one of my favorite upgrades I’ve had in a while. The picture is stunningly detailed and the Dolby Vision is fantastic. Some people might complain that there was too much film grain removed, but I’d disagree. There is a *very* fine layer of it that you can see if you look hard, but most importantly, I didn’t find that “waxy” look we normally see with DNR-heavy transfers. I loved every second of this, even though it was notably different than how we’ve seen this film before. Comparing it to my old Quadrilogy BD, the difference was incredible to see.

The new Dolby Atmos track is also great, and much livelier than the more muted tracks I’ve heard before. I didn’t hear a TON of height, but that is my setup more than anything, I’d bet.

This is one of my favorite releases of the year, and I cannot recommend it enough! Don’t want to buy it, but want the 4K digitally? Check pic 5, and good luck!!

Picked up two new books from the Book Fair at my daughter’s school last night. It felt like the ‘90s all over again! In fact, Goblin Monday, book 2 of House of Shivers, isn’t even out until March, so it was really cool to see it there. Guess I’m collecting this line in full now!

Here is likely my last movie purchase from after their disappointing announcement last year. This was marked down to $9.99, but I had a $5 off reward, so it was a steal. A pretty decent grab for my final one.

The employees said that their store will “send back” all of the movies on February 4th. Crazy to think there are only a few days left to get that one last trip in. Let me know what your FINAL Best Buy movie purchase is/was!

If you missed it yesterday, I posted my second ever box, and it was even better than the first. I’m only two boxes in, but this is already the best blind box I’ve ever gotten, and the value is excellent. Can’t recommend them enough so far. Super excited for January’s box!

Terry Funk yesterday, and Bray Wyatt today. This is utterly heartbreaking. I’m devastated for Windham’s family. This creative giant was a year younger than me, and had so much going for him.

Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that Windham contracted COVID earlier this year, which exacerbated a heart issue, and that resulted in a heart attack today.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Hug your loved ones and tell them you love them every damned moment you can.

Rest well, Windham. You’ll be missed by so many. 💔

The world has lost an absolute legend. One of the greatest pro wrestlers of all-time, and there’s no debate about that. Rest easy (in all the barbed wire you can find), Funker. 😢
