The worst of the snow is just south of Watertown this morning. Lots of yellow on I-81 around Adams and Adams Central. Other roads are still being cleared this morning. Watch out for snow plows which travel at a reduced speed. Be patient and give them the right of way.

Due to the impacts of severe weather, the Fort Drum Garrison Commander has issued a DELAYED REPORTING ORDER for Thursday, 18 January. Please read below carefully to identify specific reporting and opening times.

Only military and civilian mission-essential, emergency-essential, and weather-essential (which includes those identified for D-Series and snow removal) personnel will report as scheduled. All other personnel, unless notified otherwise by their Chain of Command or Supervisor, will follow DELAYED REPORT times.

D-Series participants, cadre and supporting personnel are mission-essential and will report on unit timelines to support the competition. D-Series Squads and supporting personnel are mission-essential and will report on unit timelines to support a report for first lift squads at 0900 at the training site. Personnel with questions should refer to the MOC or their BDE D-Series Action Officer.

Range Operations and ITAM personnel are mission-essential in support of the D-Series and will report at normal times.

AFSBn RDF, SSMO, and ASP personnel are mission-essential in support of the D-Series and will report at normal times.

Non-essential MILITARY personnel will report at 9:30 AM. Non-essential CIVILIAN personnel will report at 9 AM.

Child and Youth Services (Child Development Centers, School Age Center) will open at 7:30 a.m.

The Guthrie Clinic, all troop clinics, OB/GYN Clinic at Samaritan, and all dental clinics will open and be prepared to receive patients at 9:00 a.m. All patients with appointments prior to 9:00 a.m. should reschedule their appointments.

All AAFES locations are open for business as scheduled.

All additional support services are closed until 9:00 a.m.; any activities/appointments scheduled before 9:00 a.m. must be rescheduled.

Mountain Reception Company: All in-processing Soldiers with cancelled appointments TODAY must report to Bldg. 4412 at 9:30 a.m. and can contact their respective Platoon Sergeant for additional information.

We urge all members of the Fort Drum community to exercise caution when traveling and practice good winter-weather safety. All Government Vehicles follow Road Condition Guidance identified in Appendix C (Road Condition Reference Chart) of Fort Drum Regulation 525-27.
