Quite possibly my favourite of all the docs I've ever made. I truly loved telling Wally's incredible story. It TX'd on BBC Radio 4 yesterday and is available online to listen to. In the 1980's labour activist, Bae Ok Byoung, worked in a wig factory in Seoul. She, and the other female employees went on strike after demanding better working conditions. When the industrial action ended, she was tortured, jailed and blacklisted.

40 years on, she has finally been acquitted of false charges and her story can finally be told, shining a light on what lies behind the glittery streets of one of the richest countries in the world.
