Ngayong araw, Disyembre 30, ating gunitain at bigyang-pugay ang katapangan at pagmamahal sa bayan ng isa sa mga magigiting na bayani ng Pilipinas, si Dr. Jose Rizal, bilang pag-alala sa ika-127 anibersaryo ng kaniyang pagiging martir sa Bagumbayan noong 1896.

Si Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda ay isa sa mga tanyag na bayani sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas. Siya ay isang matalinong doktor, malikhaing manunulat, pampulitikong aktibista. Kilala siya sa kaniyang mga nobelang naisulat tulad ng "Noli Me Tangere" at "El Filibusterismo" na nagpamulat sa kamalayan ng mga Pilipino at nag-udyok sa kanilang mag-alsa laban sa mga banyagang mananakop.

Sa pag-alala natin ng kanyang kabayanihan, nawa'y tumatak sa ating isipan ang lahat ng mga aral na kanyang iniwan at patuloy nating ipaglaban at mahalin ang ating Inang Bayan.

On this day, we commemorate the 167th birthday of Graciano Lopez Jaena, an esteemed Ilonggo national hero recognized for his role as a prolific writer and revolutionary propagandist.

Known to be a fearless journalist challenging societal injustices, he is the one of the key figures in the Philippine propaganda movement during the Spanish colonial period. López Jaena co-founded La Solidaridad, a pivotal newspaper that served as a platform for articulating the grievances of the Filipino in the Propaganda Movement that catalyzed the armed revolt against the Spanish colonial government.

As we honor his memory on this day, let us rekindle the flame of advocacy for press freedom, social justice, and the pursuit for a society wherein the voices of the marginalized are heard and respected.

CLCMianS celebrates the birthday of the founder of Concepcion L. Cazenas Memorial School, the late Manuel L. Cazeñas this December 9 at the CLCMS Covered Gym with Mr. Domingo Soriano blowing the candle and the faculty, staff, and students offering flowers to the statue of the late Cocepcion L. Cazenas.

“It is our pride that we belong to Concepcion L. Cazeñas Memorial School. I would like to congratulate all of us. Our foundation day is simple, but it is very memorable. Simplicity is beauty” said Mrs. Delia F. Sio, Principal III of CLCMS.

Concepcion L. Cazenas Memorial School celebrates its 38th Foundation Day at the School’s Covered Gym this December 8 with the theme “CLCMS Through the Years: Foundation of Holistic Academic Excellence, Champion of Cultural Diversity @ 38”.

CLCMianS represented their respective grade levels with different presentations, including folk dances, dramaturgy, and festival dances with Co-Founder and Former Principal Artemio L. Sastrillo present at the scene.

Ika-30 ng Nobyembre taong 2023, Ginugunita ang isáng daán at anim na pûng kaarawan ni Andrés Bonifacio y de Castro, ang "Supremo" o mas kilala bilang "Ama ng Katipunan".

Isang pagpupugay sa dakilang rebolusyonaryo na may hangaring makaalis sa tanikalang iginapos ng mga dayuhan sa mga Pilipino, na siyang nag-udyok sa pagnanais ng himagsikan ang siyang layunin ng Kataas-taasan Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga anak ng bayan o K*K na mismong itinatag ng "Supremo".

Naway ang kanyang hangarin at kagitingan ay isapuso at isaisip natin, nang sa ganoon ay patuloy na dadaloy at magliliyab ang dugong maka-Pilipino na may lubos na pagmamahal sa inang bayan at ang pagkamit ng kalayaan sa nakakasakal na kapangyarihan.

In a spectacular showcase of athleticism and camaraderie, District Athletic Meet 2023 unfolded with resounding success, painting the town with brilliant hues of true sportsmanship and unity. Elementary schools along with secondary schools, participated to showcase the spirit of healthy competition and shared enthusiasm.

As the echoes of the cheers faded and the medals found their rightful owners, the legacy of this event continued to resonate, reminding us all that in the realm of sports, we are one unified community, bounded by the pursuit of excellence and the joy of shared victories.

Concepcion L. Cazeñas Memorial School received the Perpetual Award and was declared the 1st Place Top Performing Secondary School during the Division SciMathlympics 2023 with the theme "Rebuilding Resilient Communities: Embracing Science and Technology for Sustainable Future" held at Northern Antique Vocational School, Culasi Antique, November 17–19.

The CLCMS participants also garnered awards from different categories. This achievement was made possible with the help of dedicated coaches, committed learners, and supportive parents and stakeholders.

Mainit-init at nagliliyab na muling paghaharap ng mga manlalaro ng 3v3 basketball game sa Concepcion L. Cazenas Memorial School ang muling sinimulan.

Grade 9 at Grade 8 ang itinalang unang maglalaban sa unang set kung saan inangkin ni Tarroza ang unang puntos at sinundan ito ng malalakas na hiyaw ng mga manonood nang uminit ang mga kamay ni Baylon at tuluyan niyang naagaw ang bola. Nagmula kay Cazarin, ipinasa kay Dolloso, at ang pagbagsak ni Tarroza ng bola sa ring na nagpadagungdong ng hiyawan at sigawan sa loob ng gym. Nagtapos ang laro sa puntos na 8–11, kung saan napasakamay ng Grade 9 ang titulo ng kampyon sa unang set.

Nang sinimulan ng Grade 12 at Grade 10, ang matinding laban sa pangalawang set ay muling itinaas ng mga manonood ang kanilang mga kaniya-kaniyang bandera matapos magpaulan si Rubite ng umaapoy na bola, kasabay nito ang pagharang ni Balanza na naging dahilan upang mas maging mainit ang kanilang labanan. Muling namayagpag ang ingay sa buong gym nang nagapi ng Grade 12 ang Grade 10 sa puntos na 12-7.

Nakuha naman ni Saude ang unang puntos nang simulan ang pangatlong laro sa pagitan ng Grade 9 at Grade 7, kung saan sinundan ito ng pagbagsak ni Ysunza ng mga bola sa ring na nagtala ng dalawang puntos, uminit ang labanan ng muling maghasik ng kamandag si Cepe matapos magpakitang gilas at nakakuha ng puntos. Pinaluhod ng Grade 9 ang Grade 7 nang magtapos ang oras na may puntos na 17-6.

Sunod-sunod na dalawang puntos mula kina Obrino at Alcones ang nagpanganga sa mga manonood nang simulan ang pang-apat na laro sa pagitan ng Grade 11 at Grade 12. Matapos nang ilang mga palya na tira ay napasakamay ni Baguna ang bola at agad naman niya itong ibinagsak sa ring. Tayuan, hiyawan at palakpakan ang iba't ibang reaksyon na pumuno sa paligid matapos ilampaso't pulbusin ng grade 12 ang grade 11 na nagtapos sa puntos na 17-12.

The highly anticipated CLCMS SportsFest finally took place after a three-year wait, featuring intense matchups between the Green Dragons, Yellow Jaguars, Red Lions, and Pink Panthers on October 27, 2023, at CLCMS' covered gym.

As students flooded the gym, cheers echoed for their respective teams. Adding to the excitement, Principal Mrs. Delia F. Sio kicked off the action by initiating the first play between the Green Dragons and the Yellow Jaguars.

In men's volleyball, with the tactical brilliance of the Dragons and the unmatched coordination of the Jaguars, the game is met with an intense back-and-forth battle with sensational points on both sides. Although it was thought that the Jaguars would triumph, the Dragons came in clutch with their strategies, winning the game with a score of 2-0.
The thunderous plays of the Red Lions and Pink Panthers were unmatched, and in what seemed to be an equally fiery fight, the Lions awakened and triumphed with a score of 2-1.

In the women's game, the Jaguaresses offensive plays went according to plan after breaking the Dragons’ formation and winning the first set, but the Dragons, however, refusing to give up, struck back with a more polished defense that disabled most of the Jaguaresses’ shots. The Dragons then overwhelmed the Jaguaresses by playing offensively, which led them to victory, 2-1.

Team Captain Einne J Sulleza, together with striker Dominic Padrigo, feeder Joel Palacios, and reserve Luke Ivan Pagnamitan defeated the Grade 12 Wolves 30-18 and secured a spot for the semifinals facing Grade 9 Manta Rays.

During the second game, tekong Carl Anthony led the Grade 10 Red Lions in taking down Grade 8 Jaguars with a score of 30-23

Badminton players show off their skills during the first day of the Concepcion L. Cazeñas Memorial School Sports Fest 2023.

The Grade 10 Red Lions ruled over the match by winning two brackets in a row, played by Thaeron Luther Balanza of Singles A against the Grade 8 Jaguars Zaijan Abner Siploc, with a strong finish of 30-25. Adrienne Espirida of Singles B crushed Jayric Iwag of the Grade 8 Jaguars 30-17.

Moreover, top seed Andrie Lance Siploc of the Grade 12 Wolves smashed his way through winning over Aldrich Tabhan of the Grade 11 Panthers, scoring 30-18 in the Singles A bracket.

On the other side of the match, Jed Curacha of the 11 Panthers mauled over Justin Ermina, representative of the 12 Wolves in Singles B, with a score of 30-17.

Additionally, Grade 11 Panthers Abner Lyn Siploc, together with Einne J Sulleza, triumphed over Grade 12 Wolves Myles Hillarie Haromay and Dane Aeron Pagunsan, scoring 30-21.

Chess players face each other in a double elimination on the preliminaries of the Chess Tournament in this year’s SportsFest which brought the competition up in flames.

Starting off with the Set B Boys as Romel Recaido toppled Dwayne Jahred Gabin and Franco Greg Sedavia moving to the Semi-Final’s higher bracket to face Chris David Magbanua and Set A girls with Micah Angela Palcat who delivered a checkmate to Ryleigh Vienne Candelaria but failed to make a move on Hannah Mae Tarroja whom will be facing Hiezel Erich Pagunaling for the semi-finals.

For Set A Boys, the Grade 11 Kent Rodney Nicolasora moved into the Semi-Finals to face the Grade 12 Representative, Jrwyn Butch Viesca after winning two times in a row and lastly, for Set B Girls, Leanne Rose Erispe will be going against Joelyn Princes Lucban in the semi-finals as they both won their respective games.

The game wasn’t over for those who entered the Lower Bracket and was also heated as Sedavia knocked down every single one of his opponents, and Palcat zoomed her way into the competition after winning consecutively making them the champions of the Chess Tournament’s lower bracket.

October 26, 2023 when flaming balls began to be thrown in the gym of Concepcion L. Cazeñas Memorial School. It was led by the fierce players of Grade 7 and Grade 8 Set A. When the 3v3 Basketball Game started, Baylon immediately took the first point and the crowd immediately hyped up as Cepe and Belonio hurled two points. When one second ticked away the spectators seemed to be freed from their long imprisonment when their shouts prevailed in the whole gym as Cepe rained two points, the game ended with a point of 11-12 in favor of grade 8.

The battle got even hotter in the second game when Grade 11 and Grade 10 Set A faced each other. Antonio bagged the first point and surprised the whole crowd when he followed it up with two points. The battle became more intense as they equalized their points at the time of 6 minutes and 8 seconds. The spectators immediately stood up when Rubite threw two points and followed by the meteor-liked throws of the ball by Antonio and Gapulao, the screams got even louder when Sastrillo rebounded the ball, when the 40 seconds ticked, Rubite chased a blazing shoot that was the reason for a 14-14 points overtime. In their last fight, the whole crowd cheered when Grade 10 scored a goal, which caused their game to end with a score of 15-14.

Grade 7 and Grade 8 Set B played the next game that made the crowd gasps as Palacios scored two points. The voices were silent even as the game became intense when Jimenez passed the ball to Eiman and he dropped it in the ring at the same time as the people stood up and screamed. Obani throwing a flaming ball inside the ring made their scores equal, he didn’t waver and he followed it a reason to fill the gym with screams when he got the ball in his hands and dropped it in the ring followed by Eiman’s whip two points, the screams only became louder when Rubite swept his opponents when he finished the game with a score of 11-8 in favor of Grade 7.

The three games ended and the last players stepped into the middle for the final game where Grade 10 and Grade 11 Set B will face each other, the spectators immediately returned to their seats but less than a few minutes they stood up again when Sebastian scored the first point at the same time as Solis and Ysunza rained down their fire-like tornadoes two points. Once again, the whole gym was filled with screams when Rado gave them a reason because of his storm of ball smashing inside the ring. Grade 11 brought Grade 10 to their knees as they had the highest score when the time was up.

Anticipation and excitement reached their pinnacle as Concepcion L. Cazeñas Memorial School echoed with cheers and applause from every student and teacher during the opening of Sports Fest 2023 on October 27, 2023.

Each student showed distinctiveness and variety in wearing their grade colors all throughout the ceremony, igniting brilliant hues of color on the campus. Furthermore, the school gym's atmosphere intensified when the torch was lit by selected student-athletes who represented Tobias Fornier in the cluster at the regional level of competition.

"We are integrated; we are formed as one," Mrs. Delia F. Sio, Principal Ill of CLCMS, exhaustively emphasized the significance of this event amidst the instant changes in the schedule for Sports Fest 2023.

The sports extravaganza aims to nurture students not just academically but also physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally. In addition, an oath of sportsmanship was led by Dan Phillip C. Endoso, a Grade 12-STEM student and Sports Club President, to keep in mind the highest forms of discipline and sportsmanship of every student who will be playing in various sports activities.

"This year's sports fest is my last here at our school since I am now in Grade 12 and I am elected as the Sports Club President. The time for preparation was very limited because of the abrupt change of plan due to the conflict of teachers’ schedule with the COMELEC, but with the help of my officers, other club officers, and our sports club advisers, Mr. Jorge and Ms. Amahido, we put all of our efforts and dedication into making this event the best, and I take it as a success because the last time that the school had a sports fest was in 2019, and I was sophomore then. Last but not least, I appreciate all the students and teachers who made this event possible," said Mr. Endoso, after the overwhelming result of the opening ceremony.

Before proceeding to the most anticipated part of the said event, Sports Club officers announced the assigned place and schedule for each sports activity. Each grade level was then assigned to its designated area to formally start the games for this year’s sports extravaganza.
