Summer Break is done; it's time for school again,
With notebooks and bag as we walk to school.
Papers and pens are all ready to go,
With warm smiles, we say hello.

For more than 3 centuries our ancestors have lived under the terms of the Spaniards, influencing our culture, language, religion, and way of life. On June 12, 1898, our flag was raised in Kawit, Caviteโ€”not just from cloth and thread, but from the blood, dreams, and breath of our ancestors who chose to rise. Finally, Philippines claimed its independence from the Spanish Rule.

Our heroes werenโ€™t just men with swords; they were dreamers, writers, farmers, mothers, and students who carried the essence of being a Filipinoโ€”who dreamed the future could be different. Now we walk in school halls they never saw. We speak the language they once had to fight for, and we hold our heads high when we sing our national anthem, something they only dreamt of.

And on this same day, 127 years later, we honor the importance of freedom and the pride we hold for ourselves as Filipinos.

June 12 is not just a date in the calendar painted in redโ€”it is a reminder that the freedom that we enjoy now wasnโ€™t handed to us. It was earned.

To be part of the Grade 7 class of Concepcion L. Cazeรฑas Memorial School (CLCMS), Grade 6 students from various elementary schools took the CLCMS Entrance Examination for the upcoming S.Y. 2025-2026 on May 24, 2025, at CLCMS Junior High School Campus.

This examination marks the next steps toward their academic journey, with new learnings and challenges to strive for excellence.

Mrs. Heidie D. Bangcaya, a Grade 7 teacher, shared that with the number of Grade 7 enrollees, teachers anticipate that the school will produce more achievers and more CLCMianS this upcoming school year.

Furthermore, with over 250 students, teachers were overwhelmed with the number of students who took the exam, requiring more rooms than expected compared to the previous year.

Ating bigyang-pansin ang hindi matatawarang kontribusyon, mga pagsisikap at pagsasakripisyo nila araw-araw. Sa likod ng bawat estruktura, produkto at serbisyo ay may manggagawang patuloy na lumalaban. Mula sa mga magsasaka sa bukid hanggang sa mga manggagawa sa pabrika, mga g**o, doktor, security guard, kasambahay, construction workers, OFW, at sa milyon-milyong manggagawang Pilipino, makikita ang bakas ng kanilang hirap, tiyaga at dedikasyon.

Sa kabilang banda, mayroong manggagawa na nakakaranas ng mababang sahod, hindi pantay na oportunidad at kakulangan ng benepisyo ngunit, patuloy pa rin silang nagtatrabaho ng buong puso. Dahil dito, nararapat lamang na silaโ€™y bigyang pugay, respetuhin, pahalagahan at ituring na mga bayani ng makabagong panahon.
