And just like that…

…The summer holidays have come to a close. This one felt so big for me, the last summer holidays from primary school for our first born! The last one where he is with me the whole time pretty much before he’s off doing more of his own thing 😭

I wanted to make sure he had the best time & we spent as much time together before he heads off to seniors and we don’t feature as much in his social diary (sob!)

The summer holidays used to be SO tough, such a juggle whilst running a business and working full time as well as giving them a wonderful holiday making lots of memories alongside all the normal life tasks!

I always ended them on the brink of burn out, buttt they feel so much easier now. So much more enjoyable and balanced.
As much as I love the fresh start that September brings and I love hitting the ground running with work, I also don’t want this time together to end!

If you are in the thick of it just know that it does get easier (For some things, but also harder for others haha) from my experience anyway.
The hardest part now is knowing how fast that time has gone by and that you actually kinda don’t want them to go back to school in someways.
That you’ll miss them, that you’ll have to go back to early starts, tiring schedules, alll those school emails haha.

Anyway, that’s just a little mind dump from my brain as we come into the final days of summer ‘24.

If you have a little one starting school or preschool then sending you loads of luck and love. Before we know it our boys won’t be going back to school at all but into the big wide world, I’m sure these next senior years will go by even quicker than primary has.

But with it so many more happy memories and exciting adventures ❤️

Pic taken on the most wonderful & relaxing holiday in France this summer at where the boys had an incredible time & we got to have so much time to connect 🤍

Are you ready for them to go back to school if you have little ones?

Thoughts and tips from a Disneyland Paris First timer family holiday 2024 ❤️
Why not like, share or save this post if it was helpful & pop back to my page for part 1.

✨ Wear comfortable shoes—expect to walk over 20,000 steps daily! Plan a short afternoon rest to recharge for an evening in the park. Don’t forget to bring a power bank!

✨ Character meet-and-greet lines can be up to 2 hours long, but you might spot them wandering around the parks. Keep your eyes peeled and always look up!

✨ There’s a lot of construction happening right now, including the exciting World of Frozen and updates in Disney Village. Expect to see some boarded-up areas around the park.

✨ There’s plenty for older kids to enjoy! Ours surprised us with their daring spirit, only wanting the big thrill rides. Even if your kids aren’t into Disney princesses, there’s lots to keep them entertained!

✨ Use the Disneyland app or the MagiParks app to check queue times and familiarise yourself with the layout of the parks.

✨ If you’re visiting Disneyland Paris as a family, take advantage of Rider Switch, which allows one adult to wait with a child who can’t ride and then swap without standing in line again. Also, consider using the Single Rider queues if you’re okay with going solo.

✨ Bring refillable water bottles and snacks! You can fill up water around the park for free, saving money. Mini juice bottles are great for making squash if needed.

✨ Rides can be quieter around lunchtime or during the parade, so take advantage of these times to fit in a few and avoid long queues.

Ps I’m no expert but hope this is helpful ❤️ I’d love to hear your Disneyland Paris tips in the comments!

What’s the best second-hand gem you’ve purchased or thrifted? Mine might just have to be my basil bike, she’s just so pretty 🤍

Buying things second hand gives them a new lease of life, stops them from going to landfill and of course saves you lots of money as a bonus.
There’s sometimes a stigma about buying pre loved but sometimes you can really find so many steals if you shop savvy and look around, have you ever found any decent bargains second-hand? 💸

Money saving cake hack...I thought I'd save myself the £50+ buying a professional masterpiece for the boy's birthday and make one myself....when I say make, I mean we bought a basic rainbow cake and I threw a load of stuff at it in a vaguely arty way to create this! The boys loved it and it saved us a fortune 🌈
There were lots of things we managed to do to make the boy's bday special, thanks for all the tips. They really did have the best day. I'll be sharing a video soon of all of the affordable ways we made their lockdown birthday extra fun for anyone else looking for some ideas 🎉 @ Hampshire

Pure elation and sat in the clouds!!! I climbed a mountain twice the size of Ben Nevis...before lunch!! For anyone new around here, this is certainly not normal for me!! I had to dig really deep to keep going, but I'm so so proud I managed it 🗻
This trip has taught me so much about myself and about other people. I couldn't have done it without our incredible team around me, pushing each other on and leading us all with such positivity and spirit (and singing!!)

We're here! Safe and sound and exhausted from the crazy journey to get us here but I'm so looking forward to updating you with this incredible experience.
I've been without signal for the week so things are going to be a little (very) delayed but I have so much to share, I hope you don't mind 💕
These stones were all carefully hand crafted by a Buddhist monk over years and we were lucky enough to be able to be welcomed by them inside to experience a Buddhist service which was captivating!

Morning friends 💚 just a reminder that even though it's just a day, mental health awareness should be everyday. Reach out to a friend if you think they might need it, or if you need it yourself. Have a cup of tea with them, a phone call, even just a message. It might make all the difference. 💚

Wow thank you for this 😍😍🎉😍. Seeing babies fed in public makes it easier for us who struggle to do it and easier for those who haven't seen breastfeeding babies to understand that it is TOTALLY NORMAL.

Very happy to report we survived the night here in our camp in Yorkshire! The storms have been unreal here over the last couple of nights, laying here listening to the rain battering against the lightweight material surrounding us has been scary but it's been a great experience and all in the name of training for the main event in a few short weeks!
We managed 30,000 steps yesterday around the stunning Yorkshire countryside. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you've not been to this part of the UK before! My body is achy, my mind is exhausted, but we survived! 👣👣
