Poor Kimberly. One of her birds scratched her eye just before she flew to Minneapolis for her makeover. By the time she arrived, she couldn't open her eyes. She was going to let nothing stop her, but luckily Kayla had some antibiotic drops, and by the end she was much better. Now, Kimberly, you see your doctor immediately when you arrive home so you can keep the magic alive!

It's one of our favorites for several reasons. Fragile, fine, flat, limp hair. If you have it you get it. How did we get that much volume?
Setting lotion, pin curls, tease, and spray. The second you comb this hair, it's straight. Then you try products, but they just weigh it down more. YOu bend upside down and flip up, but of course you didn't let it completely cool before flipping up, so it just goes flat again. Then you try a round brush, but you can't make it work. You've got a thermal brush, a brush blower, velcro rollers, curling iron, hot rollers... Nothing works. You try heated tools, which only give it a little bend for about 10 minutes. It needs to be set. Around something. A roller, into a pin curl. around a pencil, around a can of tomato soup, around a bendy, SOMETHING. Then allowed to C O M P L E T E L Y dry. Just like the olden days when your Mom or grandmother sat under a dryer. There's a reason it worked. And it's how you style it that will make it more contemporary. Or... at the very, very least.... full. She was taller, thinner, and felt younger and happier than she had for quite some time. Kayla did the pin curl set. I combed it out, THEN cut it, teased the hell out of it, and sprayed the hell out of it. She was thrilled. So was her daughter who had been raised by her alone for 29 years. Good vibes.
