Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in a family that spent weekends hiking, swimming, and enjoying picnics on mountainsides, my love of the outdoors and adventure began young. Over the years, that natural sense of wanderlust has not subsided, but rather has only grown stronger. After working in a variety of industries - from entertainment to nonprofits to the public sector to fashion to hospi

tality and living in a few major cities - Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, I've come to embrace this travel bug as a part of me that's never leaving, and have decided to embark on my biggest adventure yet. In October 2015 I sold my stuff, packed a backpack, and set off into the world.
