Springtime means babies on the homestead. Had our 4th litter of rabbits this year, the day before Easter. One of our goats from last spring had her first baby a couple weeks ago.

Today is bitter sweet. Karen is leaving our homestead and heading for her new home. She was our first goat. Actually our first farm animal. We have loved her so much but, we need to thin the herd and change direction going with smaller breeds.
Karen will be missed but we have great memories with her.

We took a huge step and got a well. Today we cover the process and some big challenges that we encountered.

So we took a few minutes to take advantage of our hot water that nature has provided. It was nice and peaceful and, we watched a burrowing owl flying around right around us. It was so cool.
