Ruffles Road
Ruffles Road is a 1980s/1990s model railway exhibition show layout based on an urban London scene, the building plans for the layout fell into place in 2017 and the layout has been in production for nearly 2 years. The station at Ruffles Road accommodates passenger and parcel workings as well as being opposite a busy goods yard making the layout ideal for any Diesel Locomotive Enthusiast, further up the line passed the station is a busy junction connecting to various railway networks around London making Ruffles Road a popular spot for train spotters many of which can be seen on the platform with there camera’s photographing the variety of different locomotive classes that arrive at the location. Classes 20,37,47 and 56 can be seen on regular freight and engineers trains around the area throughout the day and it brings the diesel glory days back to life in model form. The layout is operated by a DCC System and all locomotives fitted with state of the art DCC Sound for your enjoyment, if you like plenty of noise and detail then this is the layout to watch.
The man behind the stunning detail of this layout is Simon Veasey who you may also recognize for the construction of the popular Stockfield Parkway TMD layout which can be seen on Youtube. The operating system and electricals have been planned out with precision by Alain Turner and Samuel Beamon has spent a sufficient amount of time on creating the layout logos and web pages as well as locomotive rosters and allocations, a lot of thought and team work has gone into building this work of art and it gives us great pleasure to finally show it to the world.
