Save the date for our Inaugural Cannon Ball Gala!

When: Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 5 p.m.
Where: Lewes Yacht Club
Who: You! We would love to have you join us and experience this one-of-a-kind event. Expect to be surrounded by the rich maritime history of our region. By merely coming to the Gala, guests will be an essential part of maintaining the significance of Historic Lewes’ Cannonball House Maritime Museum in the heart of downtown Lewes.

Ticket Price: $175
Ticket includes:
Admission into the Cannon Ball
Cocktail Hour with complimentary hors d’oeuvres (starting at 5pm). A cash bar (beer, wine, and liquor) will be available.
Seated Dinner.

New Pizza Hut opens in Milford, Jan 10, at 639 N. DuPont Blvd. next to the Ace Hardware store and adjacent to the McDonald’s. The 2,150-square-foot building represents a slightly smaller concept that the franchise is pursuing, prioritizing delivery, pickup and carryout orders. In partnership with Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild (RBWG), join us in the library for a breakfast chat with Lauren Grodstein, author of the Today Show Read with Jenna pick We Must Not Think of Ourselves. Grodstein and RBWG Executive Director Maribeth Fischer will have a wide-ranging chat about getting your book in shape for publication and navigating the road from manuscript to hardcover. Bring all your questions and hypotheticals!

Lauren Grodstein is the author of Our Short History, The Washington Post Book of the Year The Explanation for Everything, and the New York Times-bestselling A Friend of the Family, among other works. Her stories, essays, and articles have appeared in various literary magazines and anthologies, and have been translated into French, German, Chinese, and Italian, among other languages. Her work has also appeared in Elle, The New York Times, Refinery29, Salon.com, Barrelhouse, Post Road, and The Washington Post. She is a professor of English at Rutgers University-Camden, where she teaches in the MFA program in creative writing.
