With the win the Mustangs are in the playoffs for the first time in three years. This is the first time the Mustangs have made the playoffs under coach Monte Cole.

Kingwood defeats Dickinson 17-2 in five innings in Game 2 to sweep the series in the Class 6A regional quarterfinal round. The Mustangs are headed to the regional semifinals for the first time since 2007.

Our sports reporter Marcus Gutierrez is at Kingwood Park High School. It’s senior night for the Lady Panthers as they take on Willis in a District 20-5A match. K-Park has already won the district title. The Lady Panthers are 19-1-1, 13-0-1 this season.

Our sports writer Marcus Gutierrez is at Andy Wells Field for Kingwood’s season opener against Klein Collins. This is the first game at home for the Mustangs since the 2016-2017 season. Hurricane Harvey damaged the field last season & the Mustangs didn’t play a game at home in 2017-2018.
