A film that starts of visually interesting but flounders as the plot holes become more interesting than what is happening on screen.

The Final Rom-com of Christmas is A Heidelberg Holiday. The story is a decent enough Christmas rom-com and the beats are predictable. But, at least it wasn't over the top. Just simple and entertaining enough. Though, I also might be biased cause it made me miss Germany a bit.

I actually liked the start of Meet Me Next Christmas. I thought it had a pretty solid start for a rom-com premise of meet Mr. Right at the wrong time but, as the movie progressed the goal became muddled in the growing cast of quirky characters. Taking a hard turn that made me loose interest in a good chunk of the movie.

Of the Christmas rom-coms I have watched. Many of them require a level of suspended disbelief but The Merry Gentlemen is one of the most out there movies I have ever seen. A Paris Christmas Waltz was decent enough. It wasn't horrible and I wouldn't be against watching it again but it is a lot of the same Christmas rom-com. Just a little better put together and has a little bit more heart and other side plots to give it more depth.
