He started howling the minute the sirens fired up! 😄
Thursdays are market days here in Sidney. Tons of great vendors…but it is a definite challenge for me to find anything that has gluten in it! 😆 #farmersmarket

How do we find the willpower to just keep pushing when things get harrowing? Here’s my reason. I know this to be true. It has repeated itself time and again. Favourable winds appear suddenly. You just need to be ready to hoist the sails!

Have you ever wanted to learn to sail? ⛵️🌊There is SO much to consider. I have extensive experience with boat handling. Years of guiding fishing charters in the Arctic and owning small power boats. That is one thing. But, the art of sailing combined with the nuances of sailing safely in coastal waters is way up there as far as challenging goes.
Would you want to see more “how I sail” type videos?
⛵️My anchor is holding! 🌊 A good gale has whipped into Burgoyne Bay on Salt Spring Island this morning.

Broken sailboat rigging, but landed in a bit of a dream spot. Maple Bay, BC. Feels like there’s a reason I’m here. Not sure what that is quite yet.
I’m back! The phone situation is under control…and so is the latest @youtube episode. Just released a few minutes ago. John Schneider’s Wild Life over on YouTube.

A Friday morning greeting! Tomorrow is my first race day. Excited about yacht racing, as it is a good way to learn to sail.
Also excited about the new direction for the channel. A new goal to achieve…sailing to Scotland from Vancouver, BC. This is a huge undertaking. I’m inviting you to join me and Vie Sauvage on our journey!
Head over to YouTube and subscribe to “John Schneider’s Wild Life”.
Have a great day!
The first sail in “big” weather yesterday. It was a blast! 4 foot seas and 20 knot winds. Hit my PB of 6 knots! The adventure is beginning for me and SV “Vie Sauvage”. Join me! Link is in the bio.

Feeling wonderful today 🎉…for several reasons…including the notification that the @youtube channel, “John Schneider’s Wild Life” has been accepted into the Partner Program. Not fully, but this is the first step…and the full partnership is not far behind! We need 4000 view hours, which we should have any second now! 😄

The new water pump is working great! No more water in the oil. 🕺🏻👍🙌
The first liqueur project for the sailboat. The cherries are in full bloom here now…Cherry Blossom Liqueur seemed like a winning decision.
I’d love to reach our goal of 10 patrons by the end of March! A beautiful day here at the sailboat in the marina in Point Roberts, WA!
