Hear about his DJ career, music career and tragic death on the Winter Dance Party tour along with his fellow tourmates Buddy Holly & Ritchie Valens. In addition to a couple of tunes of his from his too brief career, there's tracks by influences and peers including Hank Williams & His Drifting Cowboys, Bill Haley & His Comets, Ike Turner's Kings Of Rhythm, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and Dion & The Belmonts. Beth's Bop Of The Week is a fun new tune from The Gold Needles. Jammin' James Riley has a song from The Astronauts in Hang Ten. There's also tracks from Darrel Higham, Lucky 757, Ryan Glenn and George Jones with Mark Knopfler (covering a song written by The Big Bopper).

Springsteen's 'Tunnel Of Love' album was released on this day (9th October) in 1987. Got a few different copies. My original album version purchased on the day of release on turntable. A Czechoslovakian release, a Korean promo release, an original sealed album (£3.99) from Double Four Records in Stockport. Also a few various 12" singles from Tunnel Of Love.

Last week I posted here on the Radio Troubadour page that I had one sealed copy of 'Empty Fantasies' CD by Spanish band 'Tangerine Flavour' to give away (courtesy of the band). Also a couple of Radio Troubadour stickers.
