Starting from this year, sanremoJunior launches a new award: the Worldwide Award, a prize awarded by the world public audience. You will choose your winner. This award will complement the official one that will be still awarded by the official Jury.
We will announce the winner of the sanremoJunior Worldwide Award during the live streaming on Saturday 6th may at 9.00 p.m., on the sanremoJunior page.

GEF - The World Festival of Creativity in Schools 24th edition
Ariston Theatre and Opera Theatre of Sanremo Casinò

On Wednesday May 3, the 14th edition of sanremoJunior, the international singing competition for children between 6 to 15 years of age, will take place. Twenty-one singers will represent their countries at the World Final of the festival.
Contestants from Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Romania, Russia, and Ukraine will arrive in the City of Flowers, after selections in European and non-European countries.
The young singers will perform live, accompanied by the sanremoJunior Orchestra which will be composed of 32 musicians and conducted by Maestro Alessandro Scaglione. The winner will be determined by a qualified jury chaired by the World Under 23 Champion Olympic Bronze Medalist in rowing (and Orchestra Director), Maestro Lorenzo Porzio.
The 24th Edition of GEF - World Festival of Creativity in Schools - will begin the following day. The finalists that will participate are national and international schools and associations that will perform in the following fields: Music and Singing, Musicals, Dance, Gymnastics, Fashion, Theater and Film, and Painting. Each category will have their respective Jury.
Thursday evening will be dedicated to Dance, Gymnastics, and Fashion, and it will take place at the Ariston Theatre.
Friday, morning and afternoon, will be dedicated to Theater and Movie, at the Casino Theatre. The access to this event is reserved to professionals only.
Friday evening, will be reserved for Music and Musical performances at the Ariston Theatre.
On Saturday evening, the Final Show, along with the award ceremony, will take place. The winners of Music/Singing, Dance, and Fashion will perform once again at the Ariston Theater, along with other guests, such as the winner of sanremoSenior 2022.
The winners of: Eurotheatre, International School Musical Festival, International School Film Festival, Educ-Arte/Prix Modigliani (painting competition, centered around the theme "Emotions in Sports"), and "The Child in the Hospital", competition for hospitalized children, will also receive an award.
The evening will be highlighted by the Global Education Award (that will be given to Dr. Alberto Tripi), the GEF Sport Award (to Dr. Silvia Salis), the GEF Health Award (to Prof. Lisa Licitra), and the GEF New Generation Award (to the musician Emanuele Fasano). Also, a prestigious jury will award the Grand Prix sanremoJunior to the overall winner of the singing competition.
The Prix Committee sanremoJunior, will be awarded by the sanremoJunior Committee; the Student Award, by hundreds of students that will be present in the audience that evening, and the Orchestra Award "Artemis" Alice Viganò, will be awarded by 32 Orchestra Professors.
Another unmissable event will be the parade through the streets of the city center on Saturday afternoon, weather permitting. It will involve students, teachers, and chaperones from participating schools of the 24th edition of the GEF, as well as contestants of the 14th edition of SanremoJunior.
The four evenings of the 14th Edition of sanremoJunior and the 24th Edition of GEF will be hosted by Maurilio Giordana – radio and live events host - and Iaeli Anselmo - film and theater actress, and now a naturalized citizen of the United States returning to Sanremo after 10 years. The set design will be signed by Francesco Filosa, and produced by Santo Polimeni. The director of photography is Marco Lucarelli.
SanremoJunior has the Patronage of the Municipality of Sanremo and UNICEF.
GEF is realized with the contribution of the Municipality of Sanremo and the patronage of UNESCO, UNICEF, International Institute of Humanitarian Law, Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), Sport and Health, Liguria Region, and Imperia Province.
