WFCR Fire Community Radio will address a broad base of music tastes that reflect Kalamazoo generally, and the Edison Neighborhood specifically.

Fire Community Radio broadcasts diverse musical selections, allows for community dialogue, sustains technical training in broadcast and increases access to arts and cultural events at Fire. The diverse ages, ethnicities and educational backgrounds in the blocks surrounding Fire creates outstanding possibilities for radio programming and dialogue about issues or visions that can help create a more

cohesive community. FCR expects to have shows in genres as diverse as Ranchero, Salsa, Merengue, Middle Eastern, Bachata, Reggaeton, Banda, Bhangra, Hip Hop, Reggae, Oldies, Old School Soul and Jazz.
