More 1950s fordite from River Rouge plant in Michigan. I love this stuff!! Such pretty colors and patterns! Even though I have lapidary equipment, and it's a lot faster on the machines, I only do the cutting and basic shaping with it. I still prefer the high shine polish I get by polishing by hand with wet/dry sand paper. It's a labor of love.

Why do I love cutting agates?? This! This right here! I knew this little nodule was an agate when I picked it up, but couldn't have predicted what I found inside! This baby formed before the dinosaurs roamed the earth and I'm the first person to see what was on the inside.
