Missing this trip already 🥲

The scenery was just amazing. Everywhere we went we could see the mountains. The air was so crisp and clean and it was just such a wonderful trip! It can be hard (especially for me) to be stuck in the mundane of life. I am always looking for the next best thing. The next trip we get to take, the next big stage of life, that I miss the mundane things. I am a big dreamer, and I like to know exactly what my future looks like, but I been trying to train myself to give that up and allow God to take the lead. It’s hard, but his ways are always better.

This morning my grandma reminded me that is has been 8 years since I gave my life to the Lord. On this day, march 9, 2015 Jesus miraculously told me to follow Him even though I didn’t know who He was. I am trying to find the words to say for this post. I usually have a lot to say but all I can just think is I am grateful. If it weren’t for that day 8 years ago I 100% wouldn’t be where I am today. From that day forward my life drastically shifted, and has been shifting ever since, because being a Christian isn’t about being perfect or making sure I’m checking all of the boxes and fulfilling every “religious” requirement, but it is a journey, it is a relationship with the Savior of this world who is gentle, kind, loving, patient, and caring. I am thankful for my Godly husband who loves and serves me the way I believe Jesus would if He were on this earth in flesh. I am thankful for the relationships restored in my life. I am thankful for my job that I wouldn’t have if it weren’t for God. All this to say…. I am very grateful.

“We were spiritually dead because of all we had done against him. But he gave us new life together with Christ. (You have been saved by God’s grace.) Yes, it is because we are a part of Christ Jesus that God raised us from death and seated us together with him in the heavenly places. God did this so that his kindness to us who belong to Christ Jesus would clearly show for all time to come the amazing richness of his grace. I know once you get married your dating anniversary doesn’t matter to people as much… but to me it matters because if it wasn’t for this day we would never have had a wedding anniversary. Plus we are still dating even through marriage. I always want to love each other the way we loved each other when our relationship first began and we were so infatuated with one another. This year has been hard. A lot of changes. A lot of decision making, but we are finally making a conscious effort to return back to our dating years and love each other better than ever. Here’s to many more dating anniversaries!🥂✨🤍🥰

Last night I worked my last shift at . It was bittersweet. This past year has been the most rewarding and exactly what I needed after coming out of cosmetology school and I’m soo grateful for every coworker I worked with and for the brains behind the business.💕If you in the tristate area go check it out! It is definitely my favorite restaurant 🫶🏻✨

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately. Going into a new season can be scary and I hate unknowns. I hate not knowing my day will look like every day. But one thing I keep trying to remind myself is that the Lord called me to this new season and if it’s from him it will all work out! I don’t have to worry about the little details because if he’s pulled me out to a new thing he’s not just going to leave me right after, he’ll be with me through it all! Just a little motivation for ya! ✨🫶🏻

I was so excited to go on the Ferris wheel🎡 for the first time and tried to take a cute picture of us… I just feel like our selfie game is not very strong 😂😂 but it was fun nonetheless ✨🫶🏻🙃

✨It’s been over a week and I still can’t get over camp! I am in awe of what God has done in not only these kids lives, but also my life and the leaders lives. I have gained such a stronger passion for seeing kids lives being changed through the power of the Holy Spirit🕊! I’m so excited for this next season of our lives with these students! 💛🥹

☀️With summer now finally in full swing I have been feeling so motivated and excited about my passions and dreams. I have been able to finally start doing what I’ve been wanting to do for a while and really diving into my passions and dreams. It can be scary though taking the first leap. Investing in yourself is scary. Taking time out of your day to intentionally do the things you want/need to do that isn’t necessarily going to make you money is scary but I believe that if it’s the Lords will he will make it happen.. all I have to do it put action behind it and then sit back and wait.
This has been my memory verse this month: “But when you ask God, you must believe. Don’t doubt him. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is blown up and down by the wind. People like that are thinking two different things at the same time. They can never decide what to do. So they should not think they will receive anything from the Lord.”

ONE YEAR

How has it been one year of marriage? It FLEW by. I still feel like we just got married and are newly weds. To celebrate today we had a low key day, walked around the beach, and dressed up to go to sushi 😍. I wore the same outfit that I wore on our honeymoon to reminisce on that time. It was a great day and can’t wait for the rest of this trip and my LIFE with you ! I love you!

Shoutout to these amazing women who have truly helped grow me into the woman that I am today. Each one of these women has played a huge part in my life…. But I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for my amazing, strong mother who endured pain for me to be here!
