Yep… We have another chance of strong to severe storms tonight. Storms will move in around 5pm and ending close to midnight. Main threats are damaging winds, small to large hail and a quick spin up couldn’t be ruled out. The chance is low but it’s there though. Always have multiple ways to receive weather updates and alerts.

Probability of Watch Issuance...40 percent

SUMMARY...The potential for severe storms capable of damaging winds
and large hail should increase during the next few hours. A watch
may eventually be needed for parts of the area.

DISCUSSION...Visible satellite loops indicate deepening cumulus
along an east-west-oriented cold front draped across parts of Upper
MI, northern WI, and east-central MN. Continued diurnal
destabilization amid frontal convergence should support increasing
convective development during the next couple hours in the vicinity
of the front as it moves slowly southward. Around 40 kt of effective
shear oriented parallel to the cold front should favor a couple
organized clusters and perhaps supercell structures capable of
damaging winds and isolated large hail. With the stronger deep-layer
flow/shear generally confined to the cool side of the cold front, it
is somewhat unclear how organized storms will be as they progress
southward into the stronger surface-based instability into the early
evening. Environmental and convective trends will be monitored
during the next couple hours for a potential watch issuance.

Becoming hot and increasingly humid today with gusty southwest winds. Isolated to scattered storms are possible this afternoon for parts of southeast Minnesota and north central Wisconsin. Increasing chances for showers and storms this evening and overnight as the storms become more numerous along a cold front. A few strong to severe storms are possible, mainly this afternoon and this evening, with damaging winds and large hail the primary hazards. Lightning and heavy downpours are possible with any storms. The storms should continue to push southeast overnight with the cold front pushing southward and settling over southern Wisconsin.

Once again we have the possibility of strong to severe storms tomorrow (Monday). Below you’ll see the details of this system. Parts of the state is under a slight risk as you see down below. Main threats are hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning and a possible tornado or two is ruled out of the question.

We have the chance of strong to severe storms later this evening. Some spots can see more then one round of storms. Half of the state is under a slight risk while the rest is under a marginal risk. We aren’t really looking at any potential of seeing any tornadoes with this system but we can still see the risk for damaging winds and small to large hail. Storms will move in around 3pm and ending around midnight. Firework shows probably will be canceled for tonight and if u have any plans you should work another the storms when they roll through. As always have multiple ways of receiving any watches or warnings during active weather days like today!

Keeping an eye out for tomorrow and Wednesday. More updates will come out later in the day!

[7/3/23] 6:53 am. Here's an updated look at the severe weather potential for Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday, a warm and muggy day will bring some scattered showers and storms by the late afternoon. The best potential for severe weather during this period will be across north-central WI. Storms and rain then expand eastwards through the evening and early overnight, but intensity will be somewhat reduced overnight. Wednesday, rain will still be in the area as a cold front drops into the area. If we can get enough of a break in the morning hours, a few stronger storms will be possible, mainly across east-central WI.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Wisconsin until 2 AM CDT. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats.

UPDATE: The storm Prediction Center did some changes to the outlook map. We are still in a slight risk across western Wisconsin with a marginal risk covering the rest of the state. Storms are likely to develop around 6-11pm and then track to the east over night. Be prepare for damaging winds, small to large hail, frequent lightning and possibly a quick spin up that cannot be ruled out with today’s storms. We haven’t see much of severe weather this season. So just make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts and also get ur supplies ready or know where they are at, if you have to take shelter. You rather do it now than last minute or be running around on a high risk day. Practice but take it seriously at the same time today!

We are finally gonna see some action tomorrow! Showers and storms will move in Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night. Storms will come from the northwest part of the state and track southeast through the evening hours. We have a level 2 out of 5 (slight risk). Be prepare for damaging winds, hail, and frequent lightning.

I’m not dead….But just really didn’t want to post because of the lack of weather we are having. It’s been a not so active spring/summer so far for us in the state. From being hot with very little storms to upper 70’s to lower 80’s with also very action. We are seeing the impacts of not seeing any rain. For instance, our lawns are looking a bit dry and pretty soon we will see that impact our crops if no rain comes. I haven’t really looked at any models but there is a chance of rain in the forecast (Sunday) and maybe some late next week.

Posting will be slower as you know already since I wasn’t posting from a month ago. I’ll be posting when stuff goes down so don’t worry. I think I probably should end this post. So let’s do that. Oh boy…. You don’t know how sick I am of looking at this snow right now and the best part is there more yet to come tonight for parts of the state. They will see 2”-5” of heavy wet snow. But the good news is…. Beautiful and great weather after tomorrow. With temperatures in the low and upper 70’s. Yes finally! Hopefully it just stays around now.
