"The act of creating through Poetry and Art brings us to the point of Discovery..." The Poet Magazine was created to take poetry and art from our community and allow others experiences, expressed in the form of art, to touch peoples lives. Our passion for the arts led us to look within our Community and give a place for people to express themselves. We started accepting poetry and art submissions
from all kinds of people; business men and women, children, teens, artists, poets, prisoners, educators, etc. We were taken aback by the beautiful and at times heart wrenching words that we were sent. After publishing our first magazine, we brought them all over San Antonio and left them everywhere (Business offices, Dr.'s offices, the Airport, Restaurants, Hotels, etc.) The next thing we knew, we were receiving poetry and artwork from all over the United States and Internationally (Japan, Italy, Spain, etc.). Our magazine was travelling all over the world. It became a bit overwhelming, so we made the tough decision to put the publication to rest although our Passion for the arts still burned strong!.... so strong that we have decided to re-awaken The Poet Magazine and we need YOU to make it happen. The Poet Magazine is still a FREE publication and anybody can submit their poetry and/or artwork. Our Mission - To promote and preserve poetry, written and visual arts for people of all ages and backgrounds. To inspire new and upcoming arts through Ultimate Exposure.
