This past weekend has been one for the books. I have lost track of the number of working structure fires across the metro there have been. On Sunday night alone in 12 hours I am aware of 10 across the metro area. Unfortunately one of those led to the loss of life of a Luther citizen.

Commercial Fire last night in Historic Downtown Stroud, OK. This fire required Stroud to call in fire crews from Davenport, Kendrick, Chandler, Cushing, & Milfay to help get this fire under control.

Here's a few shots of a house fire in Midwest City from yesterday morning. The fire was dispatched around 6:45 AM in the 1800 block of Hughson Ave. Ten minutes later fire units reported the fire had been knocked down. Midwest City Fire Department

Around 1030 PM last night Nicoma Park Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire. Fire units arrived on scene to find a fully involved shed in the backyard of a home in the 11000 block of E Sewell Ave. Here are a few shots from that scene last night.

I had the opportunity to go spend a partial day with Firestorm Tree Specialists & Workhorse Stump Removal on a tree removal job in Choctaw, OK. These guys are top notch professionals and make quick work of bringing down several dead Pine trees yesterday morning. If you've never sat and watched a tree professional remove a tree it is super interesting to watch, and they have super cool toys.
