Tomorrow is our official Editor’s Launch Event, where we will have our cover reveal and begin the process of mailing out journals. We’ll post more info about when contributors should start receiving their books and how to request additional copies.

Hello 2022! ✨ Our current reading period is STILL OPEN for a few days, from now until March 1st.

DASH at California State University, Fullerton publishes poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, micro literary criticism, hybrid texts, and artwork by authors and artists of all levels of experience, from first-time submitters through well-published creators. While the works themselves cover a diverse range of topics, themes, and styles, successful DASH submissions are brief, concentrated expressions of creativity, with an emphasis on brevity.

We’re off to the printer! Thanks to everybody who contributed to this year’s journal! Your hard work made all of our countless hours editing, formatting, and troubleshooting Zoom all worthwhile!

As we are making our final selections for this year's DASH issue, we'd like to take the chance to thank everybody who submitted this year!

It was one of the most difficult years thus far as we've had some of the most competitive and compelling pieces of Poetry, Visual Art, and Short Stories to ever be submitted to our humble journal. This may be a silver lining to the Stay at Home measures; we had the chance to carefully read (and re-read) all of our entries and absorb the full message of what we feel you intended to give us. At many times, your dedicated editors would find catharsis and community in this project, and for that, we thank you wholeheartedly.

You all should be receiving our responses back in short order. If you haven't already received your email, please don't hesitate to Direct Message the page so we can check on the status of your submission.

In case there is any confusion, DASH will still be publishing this year's edition. Despite the adverse conditions, we are excited to feature the art and writing of all our talented contributors in 2020. In the meantime, we encourage you to find something fun to read or write!
