On Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024 the Hon. District Chief Executive for Okere District Assembly Hon. Daniel Nana Addo Kenneth on behalf of the Member of Parliament for Okere cut sod for the commencement of construction of a 3 unit classroom block for the Awukugua United JHS. In attendance were Osabarima Opese Konadu II Awukuguahene and other elders of the town together with other technical staff from the district assembly.
