My morning routine is precious and something I look forward to at the end of every day. I've been ending my daily fasted walk with coffee at either one of my two favourite local neighbourhood cafes every single morning. The Alex just 5 years ago never thought I'd have the luxury of spending ÂŁ4 on a coffee every single morning just because I want to, and I had a very restrictive mindset around money, my potential, and the values upon which I wanted to build my life.

There is nothing like this business that can truly help you re-align with your goals and values, by giving you the space and mental freedom to do so.

Week reflection: been a manic week with a lavish wedding, family, beautiful food, and stunning scenery. Feeling grateful for all that my businesses can provide me, today. Life is about stopping to savour the things that matter to you: a spectacular landscape, chewy literature, good food, stimulating company, the rays of the sun.

Spent the weekend in the Netherlands, where the caves hold plenty of history, breakfasts are sweet, and people stop to say help to you on the street!

Today's agenda: Morning walks, research for my Japan trip in August, calls, and my attempt at (thin) pommes fondantes, or fondant potatoes, all rich and fluffy on the inside and well-glazed and caramelised on the outside, made with plenty of garlic and beef stock✨

Week's reflection!

The beauty of my business is that it allows me the time and freedom to enjoy all the things I truly enjoy: reading, writing, laughing with my friends, and of course, good food. I couldn't do most of those things when stuck in a lab all day long, as meaningful as the research may have been.

Growing up in Asia I was surrounded by the best food. Things like high quality sushi was accessible and so affordable. The same can't really be said for London, however I'm lucky enough to enjoy good sushi occasionally, and for that I am grateful. Nothing quite puts me on a high like sushi (and Japanese food generally) does...

Happy Wellness Wednesday✨ My more recent wellness goal is maintaining limited social media use, because from a science perspective (and the scientist in me), it significantly improves deeper thinking and analytical processes, and reduces distractibility. I of course have to use social media for my business, but replacing incessant scrolling with putting in effort for my business is a lot more productive!

Pictured here are part of yesterday's evening delights: a girly catchup with a dear friend over dinner at The Pelican (look at that well-salted buttermilk pudding!), fun Notting Hill sights, and a stunning sunset☀ Doesn't get any more West London than this...

You have the ability to elevate your life and lifestyle to new heights. Envision the life you want for yourself and put plans into action, while practicing speaking positively to yourself regularly, every morning and every night. I was overcome with low self esteem just a few years ago and engaged in rather self-defeating talk which did nothing but made me feel like I was never good enough, and I would never be able to properly accomplish all the things that I wanted to. Don't be like old me. Be the best version of you, starting today.

Sunday reflection and week's highlights!
1) A beautiful cheese day with this adorable doggo who kept hopping around everyone's feet
2) This caramelised onion tart at Ducksoup in Soho, one of the cosiest date night spots in London!
3) Oysters in borough market: chose the fat sweet ones and slightly more tangy ones for good flavour variety✨ I'm obsessed with oysters..
4) Another hard, much-needed pilates class. This was a combination of barre and pilates, at Reformcore in Chelsea. If you're looking for something that will make you sweat more than your average classical pilates class, this is it!

Feeling incredibly grateful to have the most supportive company and energy surrounding me. You really are the average of who and what you decide to surround yourself with.

Another thing I can have more time for with this venture: my passion for food and cooking and baking✨

Fun fact: I love baking so much that I published a mini recipe book focussing on breakfast and dessert recipes when I was 20! I haven't been cooking or baking half as much these days, but I try to make something new once a week, and am grateful for this hobby every time I sit down to enjoy a new experiment. This time I made a blueberry muffin loaf inspired by Smitten Kitchen, which was so easy and delicious, with a dense yet tender crumb and many pockets of sweet, warm berries. Happiness☀

Something this online business will allow you to do is to have time for things that genuinely bring you joy. Meaningful luxury.

In my case, that's trying new cafes, reading all the magazines and books I want, buying my friends (actually nice) presents, eating quality food. Sure I love luxury and nice things, because I appreciate the history and craftsmanship behind them. But there's such a beauty in simplicity, too. Simple luxuries, like this hot, strong flat white with the New Yorker, are the real luxuries.

What my online business has taught me (Part 3): Have the Right Partnerships

Aligning with the right products and companies that resonate with your values and goals makes all the difference. With this business, I found the most amazing and positive community of women who understand how to live to their fullest potential, and are using this business model to achieve just that!

I was so skeptical of any sort of get-rich-quick scheme and couldn't understand why anyone would want to get involved in something questionable. Thankfully, this online business is anything but that. You get to earn in a way that matches your worth elegantly and discreetly (no need to put yourself out there in uncomfortable ways!). You'll meet people who have gone through the exact same steps you will take, steps which let them leave their 9-5's long ago. The investment required is much lower compared to a traditional business or startup, and the best part is, you don't need any prior skills or experience. ✨

Had a hardcore pilates class yesterday; I'd consider myself fit but that literally kicked my butt and now I'm sore and walking is hard.

It's so important to spend time on your physical fitness and hobbies for emotional wellbeing, balanced mood, and increased motivation. Constantly reminding myself that my mission really is to support women who want to understand how to best balance their work and life, and that true luxury is purposeful, never superficial.

Friday plans: reminiscing recent travels (like from where this hotel room pic was taken in Paris, with my best friend– I really have a thing for nice hotel rooms), planning future travels, and reading The New Yorker. I forgot how therapeutic it is to read magazines and am open to any more reading suggestions, to any of you fellow avid readers 😊

What my online business has taught me (Part 2): Diversify your Income Streams

If you are intrigued by a life where you're not thinking about money all the time, then you're in the right place.

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. If you're happy in your 9 to 5, that's great. I started this business while still working on my gut health startup and figuring out how to make an income after my PhD. I am still passionate about my startup, but even in a startup, you need a lot of capital to invest for long-term rewards. When I found this business, I quickly realized that its automated system could benefit me significantly, even if my startup doesn’t take off immediately.

Check out the form in my bio to learn how to live life on your own terms (in my case, do things like go skiing in France while working remotely, and have this guy pour me some champagne atop a mountain)✨🥂

Finally touched up my nails yesterday, yay ✨ And today I found the cutest Italian-style cafe on the high street!

Every morning I go on a long walk and end up getting a coffee and usually a pastry.
I've always been a pastry advocate, and serial café hopper. Even with my Master's in Human Nutrition, what's more important than what you eat is how you eat it (mindfully, with pleasure), and I won't ever give up one of my favourite foods in the world– croissants 🥐

What my online business has taught me (Part 1): Leverage automation✨

Just a few months ago I had no idea I'd find a way to create my dream lifestyle– of travelling without a budget, of having time to think expansively and be creative, to go to beautiful cafes or hotel lobbies to read and drink smooth flat whites, to spend more time with my partner. I have a shaky past, one which required relying on other people to prop myself up financially. However, thanks to my journey in this online business, I've learned that creating my dream lifestyle is not just a fantasy—it's achievable by understanding how to invest in the right things at the right time.

The beauty of this business model is that it frees up your time for what truly matters—whether that’s spending more time with your partner or children or simply being able to travel to Europe because you feel like it. You have absolutely everything it takes to do just that, and you can see for yourself how easy it all is by clicking the link in my bio ☀

In the quiet of a Sunday, I got to reflect on the past week and appreciate the balance between hard work and the small luxuries that make life fulfilling. Our journey towards financial freedom and personal growth often brings busy days, but it's seriously important to pause and enjoy those moments of connection, of calm.

Yesterday I savoured a spectacular Sunday roast with my godparents, a tradition that always brings us together and reminds me of the importance of cherishing these precious times.

Each step, each meal, each quiet moment is special. So here’s to a week filled with purpose, progress, and plenty of little luxuries 🌟

Aside from that buffet, here are a few food highlights!
1. Gelato at Vivoli (also famous for their affogato so check that out too if you have the time)
2. The best bruschetta I've ever had and duck ragu at Antico Noe!
3. Aperitivo at Nessun Dorma during our day-long stopover in Cinque Terre

These food experiences added an extra layer of magic to our journey✨🍷

Hi, just me and my hotel breakfast buffet!🥐 Had the chance to dine at the Four Seasons in Florence on our last day here, and it was truly a luxurious experience. Even unexpectedly saw Mr West near us, not that I'm a fan but was pretty starstruck...

Sitting here at the airport, feeling so grateful for manifesting the best company and food and experiences. Even while travelling, I find moments to connect and grow my business, all thanks to the incredible tools and community we've built together. This is the freedom it offers—work from anywhere, find meaning in your work-life balance, live in opulence🍷

I used to shun the idea of an opulent, luxurious life. I didn't enjoy how much I liked nice things, and felt like a lot of people who had these things simply didn't deserve them. I remember when my dad picked me up from school in a second-hand Porsche and I felt so embarrassed to be seen with him. Isn't life deeper than just having nice things and cars and travel? Something about it felt weird and wrong.

Now, I see that enjoying the finer things isn't about deserving them in the conventional sense—it’s about acknowledging the artistry, effort, and beauty behind them. It's about celebrating life’s craftsmanship and the exquisite experiences they bring. Money doesn't buy you honour or love, but I can appreciate the creativity and hard work that go into creating these moments and objects, making every indulgence a tribute to a human's capacity for excellence.

So I started writing my PhD in lush hotel lobbies, and worked on my feminine energy which resulted in guys taking me on lavish dates in Mayfair, and now I have this amazing online business that has put me on a path towards proper financial freedom. Life is meant to be enjoyed. I am so grateful.

Take a moment to savour the perfect Italian espresso or your favourite dessert in a quaint cafĂŠ.

Remember, balancing life isn’t just about working smart—it’s also about pausing to enjoy the small luxuries, bringing you into the present by synchronising your senses, grounding you in the moment, reducing stress through mindfulness and dopamine release.

From a science POV, these deliberate breaks not only rejuvenate the mind but also enhance overall creativity and productivity, making them essential for a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle!

WHY I decided to start this online business that balances my bougie lifestyle with wellness and financial wellbeing:

(pictured: my matriculation day at Oxford, thinking I was going to continue down the road in academia...!)

I went all the way in education to get my PhD in neuropsychiatry from the University of Oxford. As much as I loved science and learning, I felt trapped and undervalued. I wanted:
- A life of intellectual and creative stimulation without the salary of a scientist
- To check into a Four Seasons overseas: work on something meaningful to me during the day, and get a deep tissue massage in the evening (of course, with all the fancy meals in between)
- Financial independence as a woman (something I am passionate about as someone who used to lack this, and this goes for any female, no matter how affluent your partner or your community happens to be)
- Be able to thrive in my feminine energy and thus improve my relationship with my partner and everyone around me
- To have the time and money to read more books, travel wherever I wanted, and to stop feeling guilty about all the nice things I love: spa days, beautiful Michelin-starred restaurants, and champagne picnics.

Now you can do the same, without feeling guilty about ANY of the nice things you happen to enjoy. As women, we deserve that, at the very least. Click the link in my bio to find out more✨

Hello from a mystery European destination! I can't wait to share more about my travels and fun there. As much as I love London and my London routine, regular travel enriches the soul, educates, and inspires our journey towards a life of luxury and wellness.

Where do you dream of traveling next? Let’s bring those dreams closer to reality.

*EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT* (and no this time it's not about food, though I do love fish and chips as much as my oysters. Also, my friends take the most random candids of me...)

Maybe you've seen my newly edited bio already, but I've been working on something really special to me, due to my passion for helping women find that ultimate balance between a luxurious lifestyle, health, feminine energy, and meaningful work. It means:

- spending time with your children without feeling guilty about it
- going for pilates and then going wherever you want for a brunch with your friends or partner (or alone, because eating alone can be terribly therapeutic)
- ordering the lobster without giving the price a second glance
- actually reading books; you know, the ones you put aside for years and tell yourself you'll 'read them in the new year'
- choosing a nice hotel for your next luxury vacation in the luxury island you want to explore and enjoy
- not needing to 'take leave' for said vacation

All while still working on whatever creative and intellectual pursuits fulfil your mind and heart and soul. Because trust me, a 9-to-5 after 3 degrees and a PhD is not it, especially if you do want to thrive in your feminine energy and feel your best, always.

Stay tuned for more ✨✨

Have any of you been to Italy?

Heading to Florence and Cinque Terre for a few days with my best friend, and am psyched! The plan is lots of walking, learning, a massage day, nice hotel, and aperitivo in the sun☀🍷

Pictured is a hotel room perspective from my last trip with her in Paris, where we went gallivanting about town and had this cute little room and greedily ate all the bar and fridge goodies...

Yesterday I went on my first podcast!

I was interviewed on my academic niche, which is on how the gut influences your brain and mood. For context, my PhD investigated the role of lifestyle and blood markers, such as that which are influenced by gut health, on the severity of mood disorders like depression (a topic close to my heart). Still could improve on my use of filler words a bit, but loved the process nonetheless.

I then went to the new Qima Cafe in central London for a stunning matcha with a matching matcha canele. I truly am grateful for the life I get to live, being able to enjoy my day and doing what I like while keeping my intellectual pursuits close to me, instead of having to rush back to a cold lab.

How to elevate your appearance, PART 3:

SHOES✨

Yes, still finding this style talk very fun. Scroll down for part 1 and 2! So let's dive into the ground floor of fashion: footwear. The right shoes are the cornerstone of your outfit, dictating its mood and motion.

Some key shoes to have are:
- minimalist white sneakers
- a short pump/ kitten heel
- classic pumps in n**e and black (like the one pictured)
- ankle boots for winter and autumn, my favourites are a sturdy black leather Geox pair, and you can find them anywhere!
- other fun, optional ones: knee-high boots in black/brown/white, perfect over equestrian-style tapered or tight white pants

I've started wearing heels regularly 2 years ago, something I never thought I'd do since I was always a sneakers gal. But the smallest bit of height in the form of a kitten heel or proper pump does wonders for your confidence as you move through your day.

For a wardrobe that works harder, invest in quality over quantity—choose versatile styles in premium materials that will look great, wear well, and go with multiple outfits. Seriously, shoes are the base that supports not just your look, but your entire day!

Younger me could've only dreamed of going to restaurants like this.

Was whisked away to Hide restaurant in Mayfair after that funny incident at The Ritz, a London staple✨ Fun fact: I'm a big oyster girl and have tried oysters in many places in and around London, and somehow this place which isn't even known for its oysters, does some amazing ones. Always fat and so sweet! Their bread selection is always on point, made in-house, and combined with seasonal ingredients.

Tuesday diaries: saw Mr. Rod Stewart himself at The Ritz... Didn't plan to even come here, but was on a cute date and we got lucky with a table. Ten minutes later the man himself, small but with a whole load of presence, was briskly walking down the corridor, decked out in glitter and white, with wild hair to match. Everyone was shocked, and he was too fast for anyone to snap a picture.

I never used to feel like I deserved doing things like spending a Tuesday at the Ritz. Understanding what feminine energy is all about has also allowed me to feel like I can allow myself treats, whether that's by myself or by other people. It’s moments like these—unexpected and utterly glamorous—that remind me life is not just about the routines, but also the spontaneous delights that can truly make a day memorable.

How to elevate your appearance, PART 2:

ELEGANT CLOTHING✨

I'm finding this style talk fun, haha. Pairing the right colours and fit with your body type + skin tone can transform the simplest outfit into a statement of sophistication. Neutral tones are the backbone of a chic wardrobe—they allow for endless mixing and matching while always looking put-together.

Fit is crucial; well-fitting clothes look more tailored and bespoke, regardless of their price point. This doesn't mean everything must be tight, but rather that each piece should enhance your best features without clinging or sagging. A lot of my clothes look expensive just because they're well-fitting, when actually I bought them from H&M years ago. Makes a world of a difference.

(1st pic: vintage Chanel tweed blazer, Commense tank, Norma Kamali long trousers, Farfetch black bag with gold detail, Jonak pumps, 2nd pic: Commense fitted grey dress)

Some examples of pieces to have are:

1. White button-down shirt: A crisp white shirt pairs effortlessly with trousers, skirts, and even under a sweater.

2. Boat neck tees and tanks: The former is a classic silhouette, the latter goes well tucked into jeans. Throw on a blazer or any chic jacket and you're good to go

3. Trench coat: An iconic piece that offers both function and style. It's perfect for layering over any outfit during transitional seasons. I'm actually currently in the middle of choosing one right now!

4. Black trousers and black jeans: A pair of well-fitted black trousers is indispensable, serving as a polished base for countless looks, suitable for both office and evening wear. Jeans are part of my daily uniform- pair a tapered or straight-leg style with a blazer and pumps, you're good to go.

5. A personal favourite, the blazer. I have these in all sorts of colours, one in an oversized fit for a cooler, breezier look, and some that fit just right. You're safe with grey, navy, cream, and of course, black. Ideal for professional environments and can also be dressed down with jeans for a smart-casual appearance.

6. Camel/white cashmere sweater: Luxurious and warm, a camel-colored cashmere sweater adds a touch of luxe to any outfit and pairs beautifully with both darker and lighter hues.

7. N**e pumps: Shoes in a n**e shade elongate the legs and are versatile enough to match with any color palette, making them a must-have for any closet. These and a black pair are staples.

8. Navy/black/grey A-line skirt/ long knit dress: A feminine bent! Navy is a deep, rich neutral that works year-round. An A-line skirt in this hue is flattering and can be paired with lighter tops for contrast.

How to elevate your appearance, PART 1:

HAIR ✨

I used to have extremely long hair, but cutting and layering it properly to frame my face meant that my (small) features were highlighted, not hiding away. A good haircut isn’t just about shortening length; it’s about crafting a look that enhances your natural beauty and complements your individual style. Took me too long to understand the importance of a good quality haircut, and now I stopped saving and scrimping on them because good hair makes or breaks your whole look. This simple change can dramatically uplift your entire demeanor and boost your confidence.
