How to elevate your appearance, PART 2:
ELEGANT CLOTHINGâ¨
I'm finding this style talk fun, haha. Pairing the right colours and fit with your body type + skin tone can transform the simplest outfit into a statement of sophistication. Neutral tones are the backbone of a chic wardrobeâthey allow for endless mixing and matching while always looking put-together.
Fit is crucial; well-fitting clothes look more tailored and bespoke, regardless of their price point. This doesn't mean everything must be tight, but rather that each piece should enhance your best features without clinging or sagging. A lot of my clothes look expensive just because they're well-fitting, when actually I bought them from H&M years ago. Makes a world of a difference.

Some examples of pieces to have are:
1. White button-down shirt: A crisp white shirt pairs effortlessly with trousers, skirts, and even under a sweater.
2. Boat neck tees and tanks: The former is a classic silhouette, the latter goes well tucked into jeans. Throw on a blazer or any chic jacket and you're good to go
3. Trench coat: An iconic piece that offers both function and style. It's perfect for layering over any outfit during transitional seasons. I'm actually currently in the middle of choosing one right now!
4. Black trousers and black jeans: A pair of well-fitted black trousers is indispensable, serving as a polished base for countless looks, suitable for both office and evening wear. Jeans are part of my daily uniform- pair a tapered or straight-leg style with a blazer and pumps, you're good to go.
5. A personal favourite, the blazer. I have these in all sorts of colours, one in an oversized fit for a cooler, breezier look, and some that fit just right. You're safe with grey, navy, cream, and of course, black. Ideal for professional environments and can also be dressed down with jeans for a smart-casual appearance.
6. Camel/white cashmere sweater: Luxurious and warm, a camel-colored cashmere sweater adds a touch of luxe to any outfit and pairs beautifully with both darker and lighter hues.
7. N**e pumps: Shoes in a n**e shade elongate the legs and are versatile enough to match with any color palette, making them a must-have for any closet. These and a black pair are staples.
8. Navy/black/grey A-line skirt/ long knit dress: A feminine bent! Navy is a deep, rich neutral that works year-round. An A-line skirt in this hue is flattering and can be paired with lighter tops for contrast.
