Great review of the third Critical Defiance album here. "This is cleaner than a lot of thrash out there, closer to the old American school than the European one, but the aggressiveness and the sheer energy coming out of the speakers more than make up for the lack of a more raw and dirty delivery. Highly recommended."

The digipak gods have smiled on me for months, but the bill always comes due eventually. Got three of them in the mail this week--two have large cracks in the plastic tray, one was completely smashed to the point that I have to return it, and one of the cracked ones also, for reasons I cannot guess, has the booklet stuck with silicone glue to the front of the digipak instead of it being inside the (empty) pocket it is obviously meant to go in. I've been gingerly peeling it off for the past minute, taking a break only to come here and complain.

Call it an unfair generalization if you must, but all digipaks are always the worst at everything, except being set on fire by me.

Just a heads up: we ship everything via USPS. USPS is currently in the process of closing & consolidating a lot of their regional distribution centers, including some around the Atlanta area; everything there now ends up in a black hole known as Palmetto, GA, often passing through another facility in Fairburn. And we're in Athens, GA, meaning every single thing we ship or receive goes through these locations now. I am currently waiting on a CD I bought two weeks ago that has spent 9 days lost in the Atlanta-Fairburn-Palmetto vortex. All of these centers are within 45 minutes of each other and within 90 minutes of my house, but anything that enters there just ends up in limbo for an unpredictable length of time.

All of which is to say, I apologize in advance for however long it takes your package to reach you. It's not controllable. I hope USPS fixes its issues one of these days. In the meantime I will endeavor to ship orders as fast as possible, and Critical Defiance preorders will go out this weekend instead of end of next week as intended. Hope they reach you before the leaves change colors again!

Call me a cranky old dinosaur, but it baffles me to see artists (i.e. musicians) undermine other artists (the visual kind) by using AI, which is cribbing from their art to begin with, to generate album covers. It seems hypocritical. It seems short-sighted. Most importantly, it seems like it sucks.
