I remember Justin telling me how he was unsure about this song being on the album, because he thought people wouldnât like it because it was âtoo slowâ.
I told him âeveryone loves a pop balladâ and that I thought it was a great tune and to not cut it from the album.

One year ago today, my brother suffered a massive stroke at home, after a normal night out with some friends and family.
I was talking with him here on Facebook not 20 minutes prior to that happening about the movies we went and watched that day.
Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary since he passed away from it. The trauma the stroke caused was too much.
It was so sudden and completely unexpected and absolutely devastating to the family.
He was 47 years old. Wasnât overweight. Didnât have high cholesterol, or high blood pressure.
Itâs been an emotional struggle in the year since his passing. Trying to make sense of the âwhy?â has been difficult at times.
Iâd be okay one moment, then sobbing the next, because something would remind me of him.
The first everything after is always hard.
For a while, I wasnât interested in doing music, and Iâve always loved creating it. Itâs always been a huge help for me.
I had all these emotions in me that I needed to find a positive outlet to be able to express them.
A couple months ago, I discovered , and as a songwriter who doesnât play an instrument, or sing, itâs made me feel like I was meant to find it.
At the end of April, I wrote these two songs: âTime Well Spentâ and âWherever You Areâ (in the comments) in dedication to my brother Chrisâ memory.
Being able to get these out have been instrumental in my journey with grief and getting back to doing what I love to do.
So, I wanted to share these with anyone whoâs felt these words and carried the weight of a loss like this.
Music is therapy.
Hug your loved ones. Hold them close. Make memories. Live life. Life is so damn short.
