An annual literary magazine with short stories, poetry, and artwork, The Mythic Circle was founded in 1987 by Sherwood Smith and Lynn Maudlin, and was conceived as a "writer's workshop in print." After several years as a quarterly fanzine with a very active letters column, the schedule and the enthusiastic submissions of aspiring writers took their toll on the volunteer editors and publication slo

wed; finally it became an annual publication. The Mythic Circle publishes original fiction, art and poetry by authors following in the Mythopoeic tradition.
